When we were voting know one could know how really really bad things were after 8 years of bush.

MCCain, the fundamentals of our economy is strong, is either a liar or got his talking points from the bush admin. at the time. That would show them to be clueless.

I live repubs talking about the debt. They did not care about it when they were contributing to it, it meant that they could and did give their friends tax cuts !!! And they can’t do that anymore.

I guess that means Mr. McConnell expects we will shortly have one of Europe’s best medical program’s, one of its best worker protection schemes, a standard 36-hour work week, and a decent pension for all.

Please Mitch McConnell, deliver me back to fire-at-will employers with nonexistent crooked ‘profit-sharing’, 2 weeks’ vacation and shitty bureaucratic HMOs, I beg you.
I know why employers love the US system, but why are so many working people so parochial and stupid to buy the conceit that “Murka’s the BEST” when it so obviously isn’t in many measures? Or do gun rights and SUV ownership really trump all else?
