Pink Floyd – Money.
What’s on your mind tonight?
Hi Suzanne. nice to see Jane on TV
hey pat9 – sure was nice – hope she does a lot more tv because she is dayam good at saying what needs to be said.
Hi Suz (:>))
hey nahant – how goes? still off and on rain up here.
Suz, Rachel is on now (repeat) so I’ll indulge again in case I missed
(After the election I thought Politics would be kinda boring. Nooope.)
Well here is where the DIGG has Been Opened!
thanks for opening the digg nahant
Was real nice here but was way to tired to enjoy it! We are supposed to have some mid seventies the rest of the week..
my wood guy told me (while delivering yesterday) that it’s spring break, of course it is raining. guess it always rains on the coast during spring break week
Thats NOT RAIN Suz thats Oregon “Sunshine” /s
it rains on spring break….. it rains easter weak….. it rains on May day and through memorial day…. and keeps raining until the rose festival is over (June) in Portland and then it might stop raining for july 4th but it will be on labor day
laughing – good thing i learned many years ago that, contrary to what ex#2 says, i do not melt.
that is wet air……
You have a wood guy that delivers!!! Yowza.
i like rain – i learned that when living at the cottage in the middle of a temperate rain forest. especially since i’m inside and not out in it.
tis one of the biggest benefits of being retired – i don’t have to go out in bad weather unless i wanna.
delivers AND stacks AND brings up about 1/4 cord and stacks it inside for me.
i have a great wood guy!
Looks like that establishment lobotomy on Chuck Todd was a smashing success. The man is a jabbering corporate knave.
Well I made the first step…… cut my hair, it is at my jaw now…….. weird shampooing it ….. that new bottle is going to last a long long time….
i feel very lucky to have landed here mary mcc.
how’s the sacramento area tonight?
the first cut is always the hardest
was #2 the lion ?
dang it isn’t available anymore….. ya it is…..
#2 was the fundy although i do get that flying monkey scene playing in my head when his name is mentioned
it worked for me katy – is it working now?
Sac was beautiful today. Finally got out and took a walk. Been having this raging angioedema and hives for two months. It is almost gone now. So, if I was a little cranky on the comments that was why.
Was your hair really long before you cut it?
dayam mary – did they figure out if it was allergies or what?
I am going to the lab tomorrow for blood tests and in a month I am doing the old fashion scratch tests. They still think it was the purple pill for my stomach. I am never taking that thing again.
it was down to the middle of my back …. pick is up on FB…. haven’t had short hair for 10 years or so…. haven’t not had hair for 57 years…..
Lord. That is hard.
Well crashing early… a real long last 24hrs…. Night good Pups!
Good night nahant.
katy, mine was past my waist and i cut it very short and loved it. of course, mine was a voluntary cut but… ya are getting a chance to have whatever kind, or color, hair you want, including the choice of having no hair.
g’nite nahant, sweetie, and tucker.
Nexium or the other purple pill?
Just what I need….. side effects of the drugs that treat my side effects of the chemo
I tell the kids that they’re not made of sugar and will NOT dissolve!
I had a devil made me do it moment …… you remember when I had that bad reaction to the blood pressure medication ….. had to go to target to get prescriptions filled and walking from my car to the store (barely able to walk or drive)….. not in anyone’s way and then walking across in the crosswalk…… this woman in a BIG SUV yells out the window….. “Can you walk any slower?”…… I yelled back… “Ya probably since I’m dying of cancer”… turned and walked in the store…..
Nexium. Most people don’t react to them. Me, I guess I am just special. It also happened with prilosec.
They aren’t 100% sure it was these pills. That is why I still have to have tests run.
my mom would confuse me with that when she wanted me to go outside in the rain, and the don’t have sense to come in outta the rain bit when she wanted me to come inside.
bet that felt good to yell katy. and the biddy in the suv learned a lesson in patience.
How to account for people being so rude?
Good point! Confusing kids is easy. I was always confused…still am.
I just go back to the very intimate and personal questions complete strangers asked about my two adopted kids from Korea…… in front of them too……
i figure it is why i am still confused (and question authority)
Just a quick snapshot of life in DC. The top two stories in the WAPO are on reality tv.
How old are your kids now, katymine?
my bio son is 30, daughter 27 & son 25 – two youngest adopted….. great kids…. my youngest is 1-2 semesters from a biology degree and wants to go into research……
class is a hard thing defined!
YOU do it proud!
thanks siri – money seemed a natural after all the money talk today.
heading off to bed….. House is a rerun and still tired from being woken up at 5am coughing up blood……. @#$#@ cancer…
cough up another forker katy – and sleep well
I think that is what I am working on…… rattle, whistle and wheeze….. just like before….
Good night everyone…… you are THE best bunch of folks….
Good deal. Nighters.
Oh, my, katymine. Wish there were something I could do to help…let me know.
it’s a damned CRIME!
AND it seems we have no representation
those who actually BUILT the pyramids.
as opposed to those who ordered them built.
or another way to put it:
(on the bottom of every one of my emails for MONTHS now!)
“What’s happening in my country is also happening in your country…. You don’t even know it, but you’re the Indians of the 21st Century, and that’s very sad.”
~ Russell Means, Indian Activist and Facilitator of the newly created Independent Republic of Lakota
i send warm healing positive shrinking thoughts to katy many times a day – and tend to include a chant of ‘die forkers die’ to her cancer. i don’t think that wishing harm to her cancer is bad karma.
the root of all evil today
crap – the daily show is reruns again. they must have taken spring break week off.
They have a week off coming. Great feats in Democracy should be commonplace and rewarded.
it is tds’ fault that i am eating ice cream with caramel sauce and whipped cream. nothing on so i was forced to switch over to alton brown’s good eats on the food network.
It’s a very rare side effect mary. Definitely a good idea to get the scratch test, just to be sure. Nexium and Prilosec are very similar but even that itty bitty difference works with some people and with others won’t work at all. The rash reaction? Is definitely something i’m glad you caught though. It doesn’t happen often but its something if you notice? You stop taking whatever med you just started ASAP.
there is not a bakery in tillamook (sigh) i’ve gotta find a place i can run into and get cheesecake, or cookies, or a cake that is not safeway or fred meyer.
This looks like a fairly pedestrian place, but you would know better than me.
woohoo – thanks newton – i’m gonna have to check out franz – i’ve bought their bread iirc. didn’t know they had a retail place.
hmmm, wonder if they do more than breads. although, i would not mind picking up fresh baked bread…
It doesn’t look like the kind of place where you could get superb Key Lime Pie, but again, books and covers.
i found their web site – franz bakery is mainly bread – and their tillamook location is their outlet store…
My virus checker finally stopped, gotta schedule that better, I missed you guys.;)
You don’t bake and cook? And you’re retired? Geez, Suz. This should be illegal.
(Course now that my girls are gone, I sneak out for food far more often than I should.)
hey margot – how ya doing?
Lordy! I needz me this ice cream confection.
Slept through the hearings today –imagine that– so I’m awake now for a bit, stopping by to say “hi” before I take the dog out for a chilled spin (29 degrees here — brrrz, I thought it was Spring!) Hope to catch a glimpse of the slim crescent of the moon.
Most eXcellent choice for your song tonight, Suz. Can’t wait for a Pecora Commission
too bad Morpheus isn’t stopping by to see me tonight
I thought tillamook was cheese.
baking and cooking for just me got old real quick. i’m doing some cooking now that stephanie is here but have not baked yet. all my baking goodies, spices, pans, etc., are in the pod. i think april is the month i’m gonna have it shipped up to oregon and then i’ll start to figure out when to get the pod here and unpacked. i wanna try to schedule that for dry weather but…
hey ellie – brrrrr tis a balmy 43 here
Hi Elliot! Love your Sunday mornings even though I don’t get to them till west coast time.
cheese and diary farms. there is the tillamook cheese factory and the blue heron french cheese factory. i guess i’m gonna have to check them out soon – and i think the tillamook farmer’s market should be starting up soon. it’s last weekend before closing down for the season was the weekend before i moved up here.
My virus checker is equally inopportune.
I still cook because I get hungry for real food. Cook and freeze. But the baking is past tense unless it’s holiday time.
like to get it up early for the east coast crowd, knowing it’s there for you luckyduck Californians
it’s all relative.
Sure wish I had your view every evening.
when my food budget was $100/month (while waiting for the forking cottage to sell), i got to where i was making stuff that stretched… and stretched… and stretched. if i got a chicken, i was eating chicken for a week.
i got real tired of my cooking. i’m doing better now that i have someone besides me to cook for – tonight i made a chicken mariana spaghetti that was fabulous. i’m gonna have to make that one again.
hasn’t been much of a view with the rain and overcast skies. but when it is sunny – wow!
my ex was of the Italian flavor; he liked to cook and made all kinds of pasta dishes, would cook chicken, shrimp, clams, or whatever in the “gravy” (marinara for the rest of us)
Like I said, YUM!
I better get to bed. Not retired until June…I hope!
g’nite loohoo – fingers and toes crossed for ya
Was only there a couple times, but Oregon is gorgeous.
nite loo hoo
ellie, you gotta come visit again. it really is a forking beautiful state. i’m looking forward to doing some exploring.
Loo Hoo, retirement! how exciting for you, you’ve earned it.
Have enjoyed reading about your retirement retreat. Lucky you.
and me too, the dog is looking at me with hands on hips, I better take him for his walk.
g’nite ellie – stay warm
So pretty. How many truly beautiful spots are there in America? Imagine if our tourist trade were able to come back. How much would it help our economy if visitors were not subjected to being treated like terrorists?
gonna be interesting to see how stuff changes around here when the tourist season begins. i am already hearing more traffic on the 3 capes scenic byway.
You might retire too, newt?
Maybe you can make a little side money. I hear that psychics are all the rage!
Perhaps the farmers market will have home-baked goodies )
don’t think it takes a psychic to figure out tourist season is about to begin on the coast. the news was talking last night about how much of the coast is tourist dependent.
hey sunny – i’m hoping so. i wanna start getting as much of my food as i can from the farmer’s market. bonus points for baked goodies, fresh bread and the like.
My virus checker downloaded a new version of itself that’s allergic to zone alarm. I feel naked w/out ZA. Had it from the git-go. Frustrating.
*yawn* about time for me to head out pups. thanks for hanging out with me tonight.
teach me to arrive earlier.
thought folks might appreciate this toon – will expire when Princess turns into Cinderella
