Wingnut bloggers — still the biggest victimhood queens around.
The tea party movement continues to gain steam, as anti-tax increase, anti-bailout, anti-ballooning deficit citizens turned out around the country today…One emerging theme is the absence of press coverage, especially at the national level. For some reason, reporters and editors believe it is not news when thousands of people, all around the country, gather to protest the government’s bailouts, trillions in debt, etc. And yet, when a mere forty people turned out in Connecticut for an ACORN-sponsored bus tour of homes owned by AIG executives, there were more media people covering the event than there were people on the bus. So let’s see: conservative and libertarian opposition to the government’s economic initiatives–not news. Far left opposition to the government’s economic initiatives, no matter how few participate–that’s news. But of course, not a single person reading this will be surprised.
Assrocket links to photos of Teabagging in Orlando, FL, Raleigh, NC and Ridgefield, CT — the last of which drew a staggering 200 people.
You can see where this is going, can’t you?

I don’t think "absence" means what Assrocket thinks it means.
Still, moans the Anchor Baby,
Maybe if the Tea Party protesters burned the American flag instead of waving it proudly, the AP would send out reporters…
WAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Here’s a thought. Maybe if the Teabaggers wanted even more ink than they’re already getting, they should consider staging these circlejerks in towns that can’t fit their entire populations in the Staples Center.
How ’bout, say, New York City?

My heart bleeds borscht for the likes of Assrocket et. al.
It may be that people who know the current (slang) meaning of teabagging decided to stay away, for obvious reasons.
OTOH, maybe the rest of the people (the ones who didn’t come to their protests) understand that what we need right now is…drum roll…massive government spending!
What a bunch of crybabies.
BT – love the picture – wherever did you find that?
He He He
In my opinion, and as so many people are saying :
1) The US deficit this year of 2009 is the result of the last 8 years of incompetence , of the Iraq/Afghanistan War and our constant dependency on foreign oil and gas , among other facts : The Iraq /Afghanistan War was outsourced with NO oversight and lots of duplication, fraud, abuse, theft and waste, and now the USA faces 10 % of Veterans with huge emotional and mental issues ( Tim McVeigh comes to mind ) that will create a huge social and security problem, and the same neocons that pushed for these Wars ( Shumer,Feinstein,Frank,Summers, Emanuel,Wolfowitz,Perle,Feith,Lieberman ,Bolten,Abrams,Libby, etc. ) knew this very well when they promoted these Wars every day on TV,Radio and Newspapers in 2002 and 2003 , they knew very well.
2) America must develop a full Solar,Wind and Wave ,Geothermal and Synthetic – Bio Fuels Energy Industry right now , a whole new generation of Americans working on these new Energy sources, a whole new Culture, right now….while we wait for fusion energy to ignite.
3) How sad to see all the Congress fighting against each other while the country needs crews right now installing solar systems and wind and wave turbines, while the country needs new super-batteries for cars and trucks and new synthetic -bio fuels to get the Commercial and Military Aviation out of their mess, how sad and criminal ! …. so, who are the real traitors and terrorists ?
about the G-20 Meeting next month :
4) The G-20 must make clear that a global approach to Solar,Wind and Wave,Geothermal and Synthetic-bio fuels ( as well as clean coal, gas, nuclear and oil) is vital, specially for small and medium businesses, for family operations, for the small company in the garage inventing the new polymer battery or water fuel-cell, we need a massive investment, a ” blanket the planet ” approach, but where is the leadership ? where is the vision ?
who is not corrupted by Oil and Neocon Money ? who ?
5) What is also clear is that wood biomass and cellulosic ethanol , based on trees, will just turn the planet into a parking lot, it’s the dumbest thing ever !!! a 70 megawatt “biomass-pulpwood” plant ( huge for this type but small for practical effects or when compared to a big solar-wind-geothermal-batteries-fuelcells combined farm ) burns thousands of trees equivalent a day, why ? this is absurd and criminal ! and the same goes for cellulosic-ethanol plants, they just destroy one forest-equivalent of wood every day, criminal!
The G-20 must find a formula to sell to the 350 million middle class consumers in India ( 100 ) and China ( 250 ) while re-starting the Export – Import machine, with small and medium companies support and small farms and small banks in the mix too, that formula is the trick, who will find it ? and the glue is the solar, wind and wave energy, the new smart grid and the total internet and mobile smart phone link, with micro-loans and cheap crank-solar-laptops everywhere , with solar panels and concentrators to get fresh water for all everywhere and with the new antibiotics ,clinics and schools everywhere, so where are the leaders ? …and without C.D.O.’s ( collateralized-debt-obligations ) or S.I.V’s ( structured – investment-vehicles) ,without all the swaps , derivatives and pseudo -insurance financial products to fool the investors on dark markets, over -the-counter and off-shore tax-exempt shelters…no more bad tricks, only good ones….where are the leaders in Brussels and in Washington D.C., where ?
Also, the Orlando story is suspect. People who observed the event said there were maybe 300 people there. That number was ‘corrected’ by one of the organizers. Right.
I did a screengrab of Assrocket as he decided he wasn’t getting enough attention.
You are correct on most of this. The leadership on most of this will come from outside the US unfortunately. The idiots here are too afraid of big crony business who are all screaming that the stuff you suggest will cost them some money (in the short term) – never mind that everyone makes money in the long run on this stuff.
BTW, have you seen the stuff on those vertical algae farms?
There were thousands and thousands that protested right before Bush invaded Iraq, and there was little to no coverage. These assholes want press for their rinky-dink whine-fests and they get it, and still they cry? God. Please let a giant wet teabag land on them, wetly.
Even with all the conservative ownership of media outlets, the reicht-wingers are still trying to perpetuate the fraudulent concept that the media is “librul”.Wow! can’t knock ‘em for not trying folks but expect ‘em to keep the lie going unless we keep beating back their BS,they ain’t gonna stop.
Ah but that was just a bunch of DFHs protesting against the rightful might of the US War machine and thus to be ignored.
This is all folks who are right thinking Amurkans and as such it is not only right but mandatory for the librul media to cater to them.
The same is true for a whole bunch of whining about the war. The right was always screeching that no ‘Muslims stood up against al-Quaeda/9/11′ or whatever.
They actually did. In droves. Here and across the world. But did you ever see one on a bobble-head show? No. Not once was a moderate Muslim cleric or community figure ever interviewed on this subject.
Anti-war protesters – well just keep them fenced inside those ‘free-speech zones’ and pay no attention – particularly since they are on the opposite side of town…
Yup. Librul media. You betcha.
Gee. It seems some poor souls are having a hard time finding shoes to fit. Perhaps one of Sarah’s classy bright red hand-me-downs would do the tricks.
a public repugnic party pityparty, and i missed it. oops.
wait. i have some stale Chinese tea in the cupboard. At least I think it’s supposed to be tea – for export – no telling. they’re welcome to it and all the other detritus we can collect when we’ve finished cleaning up after our move. But there’ll be a bit of a wait.
I hope the dears can carry on without our support. Thousands of good citizens certainly have survived and toughened their spirit without any help from the pugs for decades now.
Malkin’s constant display of flehmen response, arrogance, cruelty and bluster are truly ugly. There isn’t enough lead-tinted lipstick in the world. She knows that. Right? Her and Limbawl’s followers? It would appear they have impressively high tolerance for self-embarrassment, without developing a whit of self-awareness. Sad really. They seem to have enough oomph to turn their energy to useful purpose, but seem not to recognize reality when they’re knee-deep in it.
Apparently they’ve forgotten the nominal coverage other marches have received:
Like this one in LA in 2006, which outside of CA got “oh by the way” coverage;
Or this one, weeks earlier, different city and state, more “oh by the way” coverage.
Or these marches, years earlier, which attempted to stop the needless, warranted cost in terms of human lives and national spending — all of which got passing coverage as afterthoughts.
The worst part of the teabaggers’ protests are that they brought this crap on themselves; why weren’t they protesting the lack of oversight during the Republican Party’s stranglehold on Washington? Why weren’t the protesting the amount of debt racked up for war? They got what they wanted; they drowned the government in a bathtub because they believed government was of no use to anyone.
They can shove their teabags sideways into their own bodily orifices for all I care; maybe that’ll be Must-See TV.
i’m having a hard time wondering why they don’t ‘get’ that the use of the term ‘teabagging’ to describe their ‘movement’ kindof makes it hard to take it very seriously. i don’t get that they don’t get it.
and how can it be shown on national tv with a straight face? jon stewart-”i don’t think ‘teabag the white house’ means what you think it means” and goes on to use other ‘terms’. omg. i am still laughing.

Michelle Malkin should offer her servcies as the Octo-Mom’s wetnurse. Then there would be tons of coverage.
they’re as weak as a used tea bag.
(both kinds. heh.)
Here are photos and writeup from just one of the large Iraq war protest marches down Hollywd Blvd. Others even larger than 20000 have been held in downtown and the Westside of LA. Local and national coverage of these huge rallies for peace are always nonexistent. So noted in writeup.

Do the rightwing dinkles realize what street euphemism they’ve named their movemnt after or did they wish to be a laughing stock on all the poliblogs I’ve been reading?
The whining baby art is oh so appropriate to illustrate these tea baggers’ complaints. They got press coverage, all right. It just wasn’t to their liking, which I imagine to be page one, above the fold, with big photo; or on national network news. The coverage is roughly equal to that of the Iraq War protests, so I think the right wingnuts should STFU.
Remember when this march got tons of national press? (warning to dial-up = large pic)
CLUELESS
TOTALLY FOOKIN CLUELESS
befitting of the party who gave us presnit bunnypants
I really think part of their problem is “you can’t say frak on teevee.” Or “teabagging.”
i have a stupid question (haven’t been around much so maybe missed it) but are the right wing protests getting more coverage than the, you know, anti-war anti-torture protests?
Book Salon a couple of flights upstairs Equal: Women Reshape American
‘Conservative Bloggers Furious at Media for “Absence” of “Tea Parties” Press Coverage’ …. Holy crap, talk about Special Ol’Wimpians.
Then again those pics of Malkin look just so like she would know what tea-bagging means!
Let me guess….they’ll resort to using dirty bombs to get America’s attention?
As a Ridgefielder, I’m sorry my lovely town was sullied by these idiots. I took a look at the pics to see if I recognized anyone I knew. Thankfully I didn’t.
Let’s just say that shouting out:
TEABAGGING DEMONSTRATION IN THE MAIN SQUARE!
BRING YOUR NUTS!
probably won’t attract the kind of attention they want.
Or maybe it will. With repugs it’s hard to tell.
WETSUITS OPTIONAL!
okay, I made up that last bit.
The never seemed to complain about the lack of coverage given to anti-war demonstrations.
I’m not sure why, but I really think Sara Silverman needs to hook up with this story. She looks so cute whenever she says something “accidentally” dirty.

‘dinkles’.
love that.
