Stewart did a brilliant job of laying it bare with his distillation of the use of middle class retirement money to enrich the thieves while cramer told anyone who would listen how we should invest for “our” future.

Stewart also said something very important that is not said enough; The stock market is NOT the economy. We are the economy. Work is the economy. The tens of millions of We the People that go to work every fucking day, in good faith, and do our part for the greater good, always following the rules, socking away our pennies and nickles, we are the economy. And we have been fleeced and now are being asked to PAY for it. Without a reach around. Not. Another. Dime. Unless and until we are told when, how and how much of our money we will get back.

His ‘kids turned him in’ after he told them to turn him in, because if the Feds knew what his kids and his wife were doing along with him, the whole family would be in prison for the rest of their lives. At the end, Madoff scammed everyone again. Funny how when Bernie was arrested his wife immediately filed for divorce. Part of the plan to hide assets with the ‘ex-wife’? Spit.

Morning everyone. I’ve got TDS DVR’d but haven’t watched it yet. Right now I’m watching MoJoe to see if the interview gets mentioned. They’ve been hammering Stewart all week but so far today….nothing.

Completely discredited now there is no reason to believe that Madoof did what he did without accomplices. Many are guilty and were co conspirators. It should be hard to let them slink away without people continuing to clamor for justice. Most of the ripped offs are rich slackers – the rich stealig from the rich, but not all and stealing and conspiracy is a crime no matter how wealthy you are and who your victims are/were.

I hope the entire gorup of conspirators right down to his accountants are sent to jail and their “earnings” reclaimed and distributed to the victims… or better yet to “the people.”

Bernie Madoff may have been the “face” of a mega crime in which over 60 billion $$ for starters was stolen. Surely there are others involved too.

It will be very interesting to learn as time goes forward the trails,paths and places this money traveled or ended up at or in.60 billion $$ just does not get incinerated. Others surely were involved as this very large amount of money’s “float” alone would present major payoffs and skims either as it was being moved or was parked.

Or kept. Kept still?

There must be enough evidence still remaining to make it possible to assemble the basics of how/where Madoff processed what he had stolen.

For the sake of the many victims of Madoff’s fraud and theft hopefully it will be possible to recover some sizeable portion of what Madoff stole.
