U.S. manufcaturing will be the big winner. It is striking that factory construction has been soaring over the last year. Also capital goods orders have held up remarkably well. Ill bet on a resurgence of domestic manufatcuring, although the firms and industries will be tough to guess.

there are a whole pile of people who work for minimum wage who are NOT teenagers….. and it depends on the state on what class of employees are exempt from the minimum wage.

In Arizona wait staff at restaurants are not subject to minimum wage, they are paid base pay + tips = minimum wage. My youngest son worked for a high end Cajun restaurant where his base was $2.38 and guess what, he never made the minimum wage. No labor board in AZ, no state labor laws, default to federal laws……. He was paid more working at a Subway…..

So new factories being built just what kind of factories and what do they know that I don’t? A very likely potential drop in oil prices for the summer and a raise in the minimum wage.
Plus we got Stimulus jobs kicking in road construction should make traffic horrible in all 50 states but it beats the alternative.
Schools and Government buildings should be getting insulated windows and save money on heat and air conditioning that should put home builders back to work.
Wind employs more people than Coal now before Obama has given out any money for green energy. I wonder how many people wind will employ after they get paid?
Will this be enough to save the economy I don’t know but it seems like a good start.
