These are also the people who make up the republican party which wants to run our country for us. They just got out of power thank God and if the people are nuts enough no matter how bad things get to put them back in we all have lost thetoss.

When I was in high school (back when, as my daughters say, dinosaurs ruled the earth), everybody just went to the one–and wondered why, if they were sober enough.

I’d agree that the experience was weird, but I can’t imagine to what the Coulter thinks it could be an “alternative.” If we’d had an alternative, I’m sure most of us would have gone to it. Luckily we have an alternative to the Coulter.

Last month, I discovered my kids’ former 4th and 6th grade teachers are Maddow and KO viewers. That’s a demographic that I would never, ever have expected to tune in to political news, but if I’m hearing correctly, they actually like the fact that they’re being spoken to as adults who can handle more than a simple sound bite.

Oh yeah!! We started a small group Women;s Forum for Change just before the Iraq Attack. Many teachers. We held public forums on the Patriot Act…Attacks on Women’s Rights…Health Care..No Chid Left Behind….The War,,and the War.
Many teachers were willing to come and have their own children attend. We never put the school in the position of taking a stand. Planning events that fit into school schedules. Food,flowers and music!!

See, I am so dumb that the “alternative prom” may not mean “gay”. There was coverage of the Muslim girls prom in the NYT last year, for instance. Alternative could simply mean that you are proud to be a geek instead of staying home feeling sorry for yourself.
