It’s Ugly—Motion Picture Television Fund Senior Home Update

By: Lisa Derrick Thursday February 12, 2009 7:53 am

Six senior citizen residents of the Motion Picture Television Fund have died since the closures of the long-term care facility and hospital at its Woodland Hills retirement home were announced in January– a far higher death rate than usual. Some of the 100-plus frail residents threatened with removal to other facilities before the end of 2009, many of them in their 80s and 90s, feel “tormented” and are reluctant to eat,

By: Jane Hamsher Thursday February 12, 2009 6:59 am
