By: Jane Hamsher Wednesday February 18, 2009 8:01 am

UC Professor Brad DeLong says it’s time:

That Professor John Yoo could write “The Imperial President Abroad” in 2000 and the “Torture Memo” in 2003 demonstrates that he does not believe what he writes — at least not for any meaning of “believe” that any of us would recognize.

Academic freedom is a powerful and important principle.

By: Jane Hamsher Tuesday February 17, 2009 7:00 pm

Last week Selise, Hugh and I watched the 3 1/2 long Geithner hearing until the bitter end, waiting for him to say something of substance and perplexed that he would be dispatched during a time of economic crisis to deliver such a muddled message. Now we know why — there was no plan.
