WADR, I think hte time to address that is in the primaries for the general. This guy has a lot of experience with becoming entrenched. He doesn’t need a head start.

$600 for a day of driving?!? At the corporation I used to work for, they check gas cards to make sure you don’t sell, or give, gas away to friends, relatives, or the cute girl you met at the WaWa.
So, either he was cheating, obviously, or he was using his Hummer to pull an aircraft carrier back and forth to work…Go Murph!

All they care about is whether other people’s catastrophes help them politically, or teach someone a lesson (preferaby both).

If everybody heeded their words, and behaved themselves, those “conservatives” would be miserable. What would they do, then?

You would think that with the endorsement of Steele and Palin, and with the puffing up of his mileage account, I would automatically oppose Goper Tedesco. I do and I recommend you do too.

However, as Selise has pointed out in the past, the enemy of my enemy is not always my friend. I reserve the right to object to Murphy’s candidacy, because he has stated his wish to become a Blue Dog Democrat. They want pay go spending controls, opposed the stimulus bill, and generally vote Republican. I reserve the right to not vote for someone I do not want elected. And I refuse to be bullied into voting for him by those who say that I am electing his opponent by not voting for him.

Mr. Murphy needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Our district is populist territory, not fodder for financiers such as he. When this district (20) voted for Obama, it meant voting for ‘change’, to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, to create jobs in energy, infrastructure and health care reform. If you must ascribe to Blue Dog conservatism, don’t bother running for congress, there’s already a Republican running, Tedesco.

Gas receipts too funny.

Granting ludicrous benefits of the doubt — state supplied vehicle gets 10mpg; ‘01 gas at $2 per gal; and day started on empty tank, ended on full.

Rough calculation gets you something like:
June 29, 2001, he drove the vehicle over 1,500 miles
Dec 11, 2001, he drove the vehicle over 2,500 miles.

I say his NY vehicle issue was snafued - he got a jet for the 17mi trip.. yanno Gummint can’t do anything right.

I thought that was an indication of how Obama would stand up to the Rethugs and their entrenched mindset in D.C.
