stiglitz has spent years working and looking out for the little guy. he’s gone up against people like summers in defense of people who had no defense. he advocates, not, as every other public economist i’m aware of, that the technocrats should rule, but that people everywhere – ordinary people – should have a say in their own fate.

I think Obama is always well prepared, so much so that he jumps right in … but he catches himself and steadies the pace. There’s a lot of energy around him ~ I don’t interpret it as nervous. He had to keep it moving because he had a lot of big things to say! His pacing of the words always seems just right to me.
