You think the wingers are that strong right now? I have no idea. They’re beyond repulsive to me and, I suspect, a LOT of others. To my eyes, they’re sickening, hideously out of kilter! I don’t think it’s just you and me either. I talk a bit, and mostly listen, to a fair number of folk I would have called red-staters for sure, in the past. I think a lot of them have had a snootfull of the hate bile, and they blame the R’s for the financial mess. R’s as a party seem in grave trouble in our area of the world (N.E. OH), and Obama is actually gaining more and more respect. Time will tell if that’ll hold. It’s gonna get dicey as the economy continues tanking which, I assume, “experts” think it will. But I hope he can hold his glow for making an honest effort, and for caring.

Because the term is loaded, I’m always reluctant to label arch rightwingers (like Malkin)as Nazis. In this case, however, the photo sort of does the work for me. I probably shouldn’t use the phrase, “now I’ve seen everything”, because I’m sure there’s more where this came from.
