I need a super strong European style safety net for the next few years….. The fact that short term disability is taken concurrently with FLMA which ran out on Feb 5th. Katymine: Tonight I went to a Dem club meeting and the guest speaker was Walter Heath of Health Care for All—California He said he might be willing to do a post at the Lake. They are on a seconf try to pass Single Payer health insurance at 4% of income over $7,000.00 or 8% of payroll for employers. The care providers are the same but everyone is covered.
Might be an interesting series as if California gets it many states will follow and a national program will come sooner.He asked us to lobby our critters. They have a nice promotion going and we are helping.

My more tinfoil side makes me think too that Bain Capital bought Clear Channel in order to help in this cause also. I couldn’t believe how blatant it was, and to really twist the knife, the most common talking point was to compare it to the famous JFK speech about religion, even though they were saying the opposite things.

We’ll be dealing with Mittmo for at least 10 more years, and then likely the MittSpawn. I think he’s still only 61 or so. Time to ding him now as much as possible.

First bill he signed was Lilly Ledbetter. Just signed what is the largest single expenditure in U.S. history, while at the same time is the largest tax cut in U.S. history (mostly for lower income earners). Approval rating going up…alot.

In less than a month there’s all this and more, and now powerful Repubs are calling for nationalization of banks. This is really incredible. If Obama is serious about some of the big changes he wants to bring, he’s getting things lined up really, really well to pull them off. This is basically the opposite of when Clinton took office. Lots to like so far.

What they are counting on is that you pay all your life into the pot…and you’re supposed to get some of that back at 65…but then now they will want to push it up until past when your’re dead. Such a deal.

Did hear that neem oil is really good, I’m going to try that on the lawn and inside in the basement. And pennyroyal for pet baths, I hear, is good for combating fleas etc.
