  • Bankruptcy in Detroit.
  • And California.
  • And the Donald!
  • Another adult contemplates mistakes.
  • Let the rich make their money, then tax ‘em.
  • The Taliban, who George W. Bush defeated, update.

Ok. I was hoping that his numbers are taking a nose dive and that 80% of his listeners think know he’s an ass.

“As part of the inquiry, the authorities are taking a fresh look at information given to them by Dale Stoffel, an American arms dealer and contractor who was killed in Iraq in late 2004,” reported the International Herald Tribune on Sunday.

“Before he was shot on a road north of Baghdad, Stoffel drew a portrait worthy of a pulp crime novel: tens of thousands of dollars stuffed into pizza boxes and delivered surreptitiously to the American contracting offices in Baghdad, and payoffs made in paper bags that were scattered in ‘dead drops’ around the Green Zone, the nerve center of the United States government’s presence in Iraq, two senior federal officials said.”

from one of your links blue texan, 538 has this and it is something more democrats need to point out, notice my bold;

Under Clinton, by contrast, the economy was a rising tide that lifted all boats. The poor, finally, did quite well for themselves, their incomes appreciating at about 2.5 percent annually, but the rich did just about as well — in fact, the rich did better under Clinton than they had under Reagan and Bush. The rich/poor gap, if measured as a ratio, did not increase appreciably under Clinton. The 10th percentile saw their incomes increase by about 17 percent during his tenure, and so did the 90th percentile.

see that?

that’s a secret the top 2 percent do not want anyone else to know about

the wealthy do BETTER under kinesian economics then they do under “concervative/reagan/friedman/” economics

the problem for them is they don’t care one stitch about how MUCH wealth they have, (they already have more then they will ever ever spend)

they care about having a bigger DIFFERANCE.

they do NOT want everyone doing well, they DO NOT

Morning all, Well Obama is going to be here today to sign the stimulous. Tickets to the event at the Denver museum of Nature and Science were all handed out last week to the party faithful. This is not going to be one of those townhall thingees.

ah, enter hit too soon

they do NOT want the poor rising to the ranks of middle class, they do not want the middle class rising to the ranks of wealth, they do not want the wealthy rising to the ranks of super wealth

they want there to be as big a differance between them and everyone else, even if this means they are poorer for it

The AMT patch that was put in the stim bill to appease the Rs. According to Krugman on KO last night, this is the only part of the bill that has no effect on job creation. The Rs are claiming that the stimulous does not creat enough jobs. DUH

The funniest part? He could lose money from the Zinc commercials he does on the air. Why? Because just recently he was doing one of those Zinc commercials raving about it when he sounded like he had the worst head cold in the history of head colds! It was beautiful.

I hope Ass Limbo crashes in a pile of right wing bullcrap.

Okay, going to work with the rest of the schmucks of America! Have a great day everyone. ;-)

Oh my, Schuster does snark. He called Schock one of the “brighter” repugs…

Actually, the “infrastructure Republicans” were given lots of opportunity by Obama to make noise on this bill with many options for beefing up infrastructure spending. Crickets quite honestly. They had a chance, a big chance but the word was out, oppose the bill no matter what.

It doesn’t surprise me that when you send pallets of cash, people steal it. What a stupid move by the US. Whomever ran that operation needs to charged with debilitation and held accountable for that bone headed idea. How did they expect to account for what was being spent? This is beyond believable.

Former President Bill Clinton: I think that the only thing that our administration did or didn’t do that we should have done is to try to set in motion some more formal regulation of the derivatives market. They’re wrong in saying that the elimination of the Glass-Steagall division between banks and investment banks contributed to this. Investment banks were already…banks were already doing investment business and investment companies were already in the banking business.

WTF? Banks and investment banks were breaking the law, so they changed the law?

breaking the law, so they changed the law?

see fisa

see the mca

it’s become standard operating – when a favored or powerful member of the plutocrat is caught breaking the law, the wagons are circled (including both Ds and Rs and media and corps) and the law is changed.

It’s crazy, but yes they just changed the law to match the criminal behavior. However, it also shows clearly that it wasn’t so much the Clinton-era deregulation which caused our problems.
