We were approved for a loan modification. 25% off of the mortgage with a 5.2% interest rate. This makes it possible to stay in the house. We haven’t gotten the documents yet and don’t know if there are strange conditions in the contract. But, today, it looks like we can stay. I was fearful that we would have move and need to give our pets up. Today is a good day.

The economy crumbles and the banks do things that are really out of character. They have to help save my house and the guy down the street’s house and the bank at the same time. Very inefficient.

i’ve been told there are eagles here on the bay – when i get my pod i’ll be able to use my binocs and confirm they are the ones i see flying around near dusk.

We have eagles right on the river in back of my house. Another great reason not to have to move.

the american is gorgeous – i used to river raft back when i was young, the american, the stan, the merced. when i was at a week long juvenile justice update training, it backed up to the river and i would spend my lunch walking along the bank. lovely.
