I’m simply giving up on Obama and the Dems. Not one week down the pike with a stimulus and the Dems have lost it (thanks to Obama kissing “bipartisan” ass). NPR is using GOP talking points against the stimulus. They are stating, as fact, that tax cuts are the ONLY proven way to stimulate the economy (where is this nonexistent proof they speek of?). I mean, JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! The Dems HAD momentum, goodwill, and historic unpopularity for the GOP on their side and they STILL can’t pull it together to fight the GOP and their objectively false talking points! And Obama just sits back and as asks plaintively, “Can’t we all just get along?”

NO. But it is now too late. The “stimulus” is going to be written by the fucking minority party in the Congress EXACTLY the way it was going to be done if they had held onto their majority. It is going to carry tax cuts for corporations in place of investments in green jobs. It is going to carry tax cuts for the wealthy so they can piss down on the rest of us (ie, “trickle down”) and do…NOTHING.

I’m through. I am not going to call, write to congress anymore. They are inept, incompetent, criminal, in the pocket of corporations and wall street, etc. They don’t WANT to do anything but fiddle while Rome burns. Instead of expecting (and demanding) anything from the 100% assholes inhabiting DC (including Obama the wet noodle bipartisan), I am going to invest in gold coins, emergency food, BULLETS, and canning supplies.
