Hamas is the elected government in Gaza Strip and in control of all state services, including POLICE. The rockets being launched from Gaza into Israel are primarily launched by Hamas fighters.
Anyone with half a brain would therefore realize that Gazan police are not “the force used to stop the rocket launches” because the police force are an arm of the same organization shooting those rockets!

If Gazan police were actually preventing the fire of rockets then Israel would have no need to militarily engage Gaza at all.
