When you’re 50 points off from the middle on an issue, you’re not just out of the mainstream — you’re radicals. But I suppose if you believe torture is good, global warming is fake and being gay is a choice, thinking George W. Bush has done a good job is in the same ballpark.

GRITtv: Has Obama Fixed His Rick Warren Problem? |
| By: GRITtv with Laura Flanders Wednesday January 14, 2009 9:00 am |
Is it a classic case of forgive and forget? This week Obama called on gay Episcopal bishop, Gene Robinson, to deliver the invocation at the ceremonial kick-off to Inauguration Week at the Lincoln Memorial. Has this addition to the inaugural lineup offset Obama’s pick of evangelical celebrity Rick Warren, outspoken opponent of gay marriage and a woman’s right to choose, chosen to deliver the invocation at the 56th President’s swearing in ceremony?
To talk about whether Obama has fixed his Rick Warren problem are Jane Hamsher, Faye Wattleton, Kenyon Farrow, and Eleanor Smeal.

Kohn refused.
Yep, he refused.

Somehow, I’m thinking the “Barney ate our documentation” argument isn’t going to fly with the incoming administration. . . or a none-too-happy federal judge.

- And lied about torture.
- Conflating “popularity” with performance.
- LA GOP lawmaker punks W.
- David Vitter, still an asshole.
- Plunging even deeper into stupid.
- Heh indeedy!
