The most important work Dr. King did was the work he did in the last three to five years of his life. Yet we hear almost nothing about it in our mass media. Why? Because it concerned confronting the inequalities built into unfettered capitalism, and the drive for empire built on exploitation that led America into the Vietnam War. Talking about these things bothers the conservatives that own and run our traditional media outlets.
