If Republican conservatives (not the moderates, the conservatives) had had their way throughout history, we’d still be sleeping in caves and wouldn’t have fire and would probably never have gotten smart enough to stop marrying our siblings, for crying out loud. If you want ‘balance’ as something that would involve whichever conservative qualities you might find needful, chose a moderate democrat, it’ll be closer to what you’re really after, these days!</p> Since when did any of these people represent ‘balance’?
