The Anchor Baby wants the GOP to be the party of Doing Nothing:
President Obama thinks he knows what the primary objective of Republicans in Washington should be: to "get things done."… Since when did it become the Republican Party’s top priority to "get things done"? It was as annoying a campaign platitude when John McCain adopted it as it is now coming from Obama’s lips.
So true. Except for that RINO McCain, real Republicans never talk like that, because real Republicans know that "get things done" is just librul code for "make Big Gubmnit bigger."
We look forward to working together to get things done for the American people.
Well I hope that they hate me because I’m effective, because I get things done.
The most important thing is, can somebody deliver? Can they get something done? Well, here’s what I have to offer: I know how to get things done.
By passing a bipartisan economic-growth package earlier this year, Congress has proven that when Democrats are willing to work with Republicans, we can get things done for the American people.
What I’m telling you is we [Republicans] stand for some things, and we get things done for the American people.
Well, those guys are so yesterday. They’re not part of the new awesome Conservatism 2.0, led by Malkin’s gal ‘Cuda Palin.
SarahPAC believes the Republican Party is at the threshold of an historic renaissance that will build a better future for all. Health care, education, and reform of government are among our key goals.
I guess the "key goal" Palin doesn’t mention is doing nothing — which she’d presumably get to after she does all that other stuff.

It’s idiotic on many levels.

History is rhyming and very close to repeating Mr Twain
White House briefing: new Interior Secretary, shorter paraphrase: we’re here to clean up the crapola of the Bush interior dept.
Names names, cites scandals.
Flinty. The Chicago way.
That screen grab is priceless, BT. Looks like Malkin just “did” something that didn’t agree with her…
Get things done for your rich friends GOP government is Government for the Money by the Money at the expense of the people.
Short Term Gain Thinkers Grasshoppers as winter approaches!
Take some time build an infrastructure like an underground ant colony or roads, bridges etc and then when winter comes coast!
The Bank Bailout the Auto Bailout all these Corporate Welfare types like Bush and Greenspan are Grasshoppers begging the Ants to be let inside.
No it because of the POOP in her panties! /s
Salazar was CO AG before being elected to senate. He is not afraid to dig.
CHICAGO, Jan 28 (Reuters) – U.S. roads, airports, schools, levees, dams, and other infrastructure are in overall poor shape and require a $2.2 trillion investment to bring them up to par, an engineering group said on Wednesday.
The American Society of Civil Engineers gave infrastructure a grade of “D” as U.S. President Barack Obama seeks $825 billion in extra government spending and tax cuts to ease the economic crisis.
Infrastructure earned the same dismal grade in 2005, but the group’s estimated five-year price tag to fix it rose by $600 billion to $2.2 trillion

The Cost of Doing Nothing is higher taxes later on!
Are you saying she still has some left after all the poop that comes out of her mouth? Is she a Black hole that works in reverse and spits crap from another Universe into ours?
Sorry hope this link works http://uk.reuters.com/article/…..2620090128
Is that good or bad? It can be both.
http://thinkprogress.org/2006/…..t-deficit/
There is a debt spreadsheet going back to the early 1900’s.
From all her past dodo I tend to agree with your assessment of her ability to pollute our universe with dodo and other feces.
Wait! That is the George HW Bush administration! On domestic policy anyway.
Republicans think everything is fine. They honestly think we don’t have to do anything. The “magic” of the marketplace will make everything better. Except when it comes to your womb and/or sexual orientation, well, then, the government has to step in, and is completely efficient making sure you have to bring a fetus to term and you can’t sleep with someone of the same sex!
Republicans love to live in lala land.
Well, I have to admit, preventing things from getting done is what they do best…
I’ve the good fortune never to have seen this woman live……does she *really* look like her still photos?
I think she was in that film “Dogma” she played the Shit Demon.
As Benjamin Franklin said, “No man’s life, liberty or property is safe whilst the Legislature is in session”…I’d much rather the government do nothing rather than bad things.
There’s a compiler that’s missing which translates Gooper speak.
Getting things done in progressive tongue means cleaning up economic messes left behind and reestablishing the rule of law.
Getting things done (GTD) means something else entirely on the other side of the aisle. It means that corporatists are well-fed and stroked, and in turn Goopers get donations for their next run for office, money to get their home remodeled, and full employment for their spouses at so-called childrens’ charities. No Wife Left Behind, you know?
Obviously we on the left are not GTD.
It’s not just the magic of the marketplace.
It’s the magic of tax cuts: cutting taxes always raises government revenue.
No thinking required.
Ya know I think you are right!
I think that’s one of those things that makes computers explode, Star Trek-style…
she wrote a book called “Unhinged”? Autobiographical?
She’s floundering around like the rest of the Thugs. They really don’t know what to make of Obama. He is not playing their game. Sending the transition teams into the administration immediately after the election was a master stroke, not to mention doing a lot of the homework over the summer after his nomination was in the bag. He is moving to fast for the rethugs to figure out which way to turn. Getting Geithner and Holder through the hoop was crucial. Some real crunch coming down the track for the CEO’s that have been robbing this country blind for the past dozen years. Obama has outflanked the press. This is what is really galling the thugs, because they own it.
OT: TPM readers agree: Matt Cooper sucks.
Thom Hartman is interviewing a guy who wrote a book about serial killers and Thom gave the author a profile without a name that was GWB and asked if the author thought that person was a serial killer. He said yes and was very surprised that it was Georgie……
She wrote a book entitled “Unhinged”? It must have been an autobiography!
I am sorry, Blub, I didn’t read your post before I wrote my own. I hope you are as smart as I am. LOL
Republicons don’t get things done FOR the American people they get things done TO the American people.
I always enjoy your view of things. Makes me smile. I can hear the acerbicity? in every word. :D
I picture Hal, red “eye” glowing…”I’m sorry, Dave, I can’t do that.”
I love thom but that was surely a set up
of course george is a serial killer, look at texas, look at the twin towers, look at iraq, look at israel, look at our own military
OK, gang -
Nobody answered my question……..does this woman *really* look like she’s pictured in the screen shot above?
I. will. not. go. to. faux. noise. to find out the answer!
from the link tbsa;
because of the surplus he began with add 284 billion to the price of each of those deficits
but here’s the thing;
obama is going to add to the deficit the economic growth packaga, combine that with the tax gifts for the wealthy and obama will eclipst bush
then if the obama plan is succesful the republicans will say, “see?…deficits don’t matter”
if the obama plan fails they’ll say, “see’ liberal economics don’t work”
back to if the obama plan works, they will add, “if it weren’t for the tax give aways to us wealthy folk the obama plan would have failed, elect us and you’ll have even MORE success with our ponzification”
tiz true
How will a proponent of free markets, deregulation and a supply-sider like Geithner do what needs to be done? His policy principles run counter to the cure. Holder, attorney for the murderous Chiquita Banana is also questionable.
Sounded good to me.
it was implied in Justin Franks book “Bush on the Couch” ……. the profile was pretty much right out of that book……. just think of it……. we survived 8 years being governed by a serial killer……. wow…. and now trying to survive the abused spouse syndrome from the Repugs…….
if I am not mistaken, isn’t military spending and deficit NOT reported by in those figures?
if they are not we need the real figures
“survived” is not yet fore gone and concluded katy, we need much rebuilding before we can make that claim
Yes.
This has been another in a series of simple answers… :D
Dubya is a textbook sociopath. He is a serial killer too, but not in the textbook sense. His killing was allegedly “legal”.
Anyone else seen this yet?
Goopers claim Holder assured them no interrogation prosecutions:
http://washingtontimes.com/new…..osecution/
hmm there are some actual publicity shots, where they’ve taped up the edge of her mouth in a smile; but you’ll get a better idea of Anchor Baby from this google image search.
The video image on Faux News in the picture describes Malkin as the author of “Unhinged”.
I wasn’t aware she had written an autobiography.
Oh. my. word! Every once in a while it’s a blessing to be on dial-up…..prevents personal verification. *g*
Nice.
Am trying to decide whether this one attached to the post or the one from businessweek is more flattering. Interesting the other option with the linky you provided is for coulter; thanks very much, but I just finished lunch. Pass.
and we are to believe a Repug that is the truth?
Please Dog, it ain’t true but certainly would explain why they went ahead and passed him. :-(
Holder cannot say he will or will not prosecute something until he has a case and evidence in hand. It is clearly illegal for a prosecutor to say he will never try X without a case.
Well, that thought surely crossed my mind but, if it isn’t true, certainly gives the goopers a lot more room for future faux whining. Either way, dims lose. What else is new? :-(
He could still refuse to prosecute should the opportunity arise.
I’d like to take this time to thank Malkin for saying what we’ve been saying for years:
“Since when did it become the Republican Party’s top priority to “get things done”?”
Exactly right Malkin! It’s never a priority, in fact, the republicans are L.A.Z.Y. and need Democrats to clean up their messes because they’re too L.A.Z.Y. to and never have an idea on what the next move is!
Not sure what you mean by ‘proponent of free markets.’ As compared to what? Soviet-style command economy? We are long past these oversimplified dichotomies (except in rethug-speak, where they are alive and well). By all accounts Geithner is exceptionally well qualified, and will be able to recruit a top-notch staff at Treasury, which was decimated by the Bush administration. As to the ‘free market’ stuff, he is going to push for more and better regulation while the window for it is still open. Holder is going to cleanse the DOJ of the rot that set in with Ashworth and continued through Mukasey.
These appointments are absolutely critical to levelling the playing field, first in the financial sector, and second in justice. I think that’s the aim here.
Bond is blowing smoke out of his ass on this. Trying to provide cover against his wingnuts back home. Talk is cheap.
I’m only going to talk about this once, because I don’t want to drag FDL down with my thoughts. I would bet my life Ms. Malkin loves to play the bottom in S&M games. She fits the profile to a tee: very loud and belligerent in public, very slutty and submissive in the sack.
I now return FDL to a more wholesome discussion.
I’m with Malkin on this. The GOP during the Bush years was all about ‘getting stuff done’, and totally screwed up the country doing it. If the GOP actually wants to differentiate itself from the Democrats, they need to adopt the ‘Do-Nothing’ strategy. Historically and ideologically speaking, it’s a position they could get somewhere upholding, the only problem is that they have zero credibility when it comes to doing it (as shown with the above quotes). Here’s a link to my favorite Republican articulating exactly the positions the GOP as a whole should adopt.
when republicans want to remove funding for contraception, i really really want to [edited to remove advocacy of violence]. the world would have been a better place if rush limbaugh’s and michelle malkin’s parents had used contraception.
I just found it interesting that Malkin is also suspected of killing a baby girl’s mother. Are there any depths to which she won’t sink?
Di you forget your /snark tag on that comment? *G*
