” I believe that Cornyn is less worried about intelligence agents than he is about private contractors who committed atrocities in Iraq in the name of greed, not national security. “

” Corynyn and Halliburton go way back. When John Cornyn was Texas Attorney General he refused to intervene when Halliburton shredded documents which had been subpoenaed in a lawsuit “

Truer words were never spoken. Across the US, groups are trying to get rid of the Fed. More people would get involved if they realized that the Fed is the source of all their money woes. The President selects the Chairman and after that, the Fed runs the US. JFK tried to save the US with his Executive Order. It is the strangest thing; I have commented on this previously and the information is never responded to. Just like your 15 was not. Why do you think that is?

At your link to “free at last” Mitch McConnell:

Directly under the McConnell story is a link entitled, “End Back Pain in 2009.”

Just too cute to be by accident, heheheheh

sorry, i was off writing a comment at glenn’s.

yes i did catch a bit of it. and to be fair, while the Rs were as per usual batshit crazy, what really has me worried is the inability of the Ds to articulate, let alone explain, what is needed.

Thanks as usual for the links BT.

I also visited The Great Orange Satan this morning.

Of particular note to me was MoDo’s offering.

It’s good to see her writing things worth reading again.

One small (very small) item from her column: Why does someone with her money even have a $400 Visa card bill?

All in (salary, lectures, books), she’s got to be pulling down a half million or more per year, so why in the world would you pay interest for lunch or clothes that you could certainly afford to pay for?

And please spare me the “use their money for a few weeks for free” bit. The card companies sell this tripe knowing that some large percentage of their customers will forget or procrastinate in sending their payment on time, and then the fun really begins.

One of the best things that ever happened to me was to torch my credit 10 years ago; it taught me the hard lesson of ‘pay as you go’. Now, other than to purchase a home or car (or emergencies), I find it hard to make sense of using credit for anything else.
