As I understand it they haven’t gotten a raise in many years and earn less than $200,000 per year. Now power and prestige makes up for a lot of pay, but still think you should make it closer to what private sector lawyers make to attract talented people. I think that’s a problem all across the board for federal judges, isn’t it? History books will forever write that the Chief Justice got the oath wrong and Obama corrected him.
