Rahmbo, please return to Aisle 9 to collect an item you left behind.

“I know that a lot of people are capitalizing on, oh I don’t know, perhaps some exploiting that was done via me, my family, my administration — that’s a little bit perplexing, but it also says a great deal about our society.”
Exploiting? Via her and her family? Does she mean about her family or by her and her family?
I’m really, really, really glad she’s not moving to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Paulson’s cronies on Wall Street are not going to be happy with Congress giving money to somebody other than them. Good. They’ll just have to do with 1 Ferrari they don’t know how to drive in the garage.

Whether or not Emanuel had anything to do with Gov Dean’s non-appearance he’s still a water moccasin hidin’ in the weeds. And a moc would prolly consider that an insult.

I’m wondering if the effects of the recession are, so far, somewhat geographic in severity. To date, I can’t see any effects as apparent as those in prior recessions. I still see large commercial development projects in progress, perhaps financed prior the awareness of the credit problem. Only one car dealership, that I’m aware of, has gone belly-up.
The classified section in the newspapers still seems to have about the same number of vacancies advertised. I don’t doubt that it’s coming, but am waiting for the shoe to drop.

The workforce now socks away more money in case they get laid off. Tax cuts are not going to change their thinking. The government can create jobs and that should be what Obama focuses on. As an expert in the area, how concerned are you on a level of one to ten. Ten being very concerned.

The employee’s share of FICA is 7.65 percent. Lower the tax and you damage social security. The other part of payroll tax is Federal Withholding tax which varies. I’m not sure what tax the Republicans are referring to.

If Joe Sixpack grosses $600 per week and gets to keep 5 percent more that’s $30 a week. If he’s losing his house, it won’t make any difference. Job creation is what is needed. The Repubs are stealing the show here with their BS. I though they were the minority party.

Incidentally, the lower gas prices should have skyrocketed the economy into the heavens, if the Republicans’ strategizing were true. We’re talking about the same $30 per week. Where is the stimulus? Very few are seeing it.
