That, and only that, is enough for me to trust him until we are proved different. I think his demeanor on the night of the election said more than words - no gloating, as if he very truly knew what a weight had just settled onto his shoulders.</p> <p>Pictures of him holding children - and not just his own. This irrationality is why for the most part, attempts at compromise and discussion between these opposing viewpoints are mostly unsuccessful. On the one hand you have someone who is trying to make rational suggestions - even ones that would be good for the opposition. But because they are coming from fear/irrationality, they cannot see that and view those suggestions as a trick or scam, or some kind of hidden attack.</p> <p>Oh well.
