One of them, Maggie, was a Latino who pretty well fit your description. She was very nervous and afraid she would make a mistake, which made the situation worse. Next, the ‘group’ shunned her. I noticed tears in her eyes which she tried to hide. She was never asked to go to break or lunch with anyone.</p> <p>I got really angry one day and decided to change it. I began asking only her to go to break and lunch, and used those times to train her just in conversation. The ‘group’ could not look me in the eye. Day after day I kept it up. Maggie began to relax and consequently did better work.</p> <p>Soon the other Latinos began inviting her for break and lunch. Gore decision that states that this decision is a one-time, GWB-only intervention.
