Getting rid of Harry Reid as majority is the also the type of change this country needs. He’s in my opinion more like a republican in his policy and beliefs but when he puts on his Democratic party hat he’s just a cowardly doofus.

Just Google Mormon Temple Recommend (not Recommendation but Recommend [noun]). Read the first few links that show up. You get the idea of the weird wavelength Harry Reid is on with his requiring a signature to seat Roland Burris and legitimize his entry into a sacred Senate seat.

Way late to this - Off working - But the whole Jesse White signature thing - the reason it stood out as a Big Deal to Harry Reid: Mormons have something they call a “Temple Recommend”. A honcho in the Mormon Church, I believe a Bishop (always, always, always MALE), has to sign something called a “Recommend” to let someone enter the portals of the Mormon Temples. SO - Harry Reid is acting a Bishop of the Senate. Transference of his Mormon bizarreness to keep a Black-skinned Man out of the senate “Temple”.

I think the weird world of their collegiality is something outsiders can never make sense of. The urge to be nice to their own blinds them to how their actions appear to the outside (to any non-crazy person).

I hope Obama will use the bully pulpit to force the issue in the senate to get past the supposedly impenetrable 60-vote barrier. He should play tough when need be, go the public and say we have some very important legislation ready to go, but certain parties (name names) are being obstructionist. In this way he could make Reid and his truly lethal incompetence irrelevant. His pointed snub of DiFi over Panetta, and his complete failure to mince words about intelligence community shortcomings, gives me some cause to hope…

No. Reid *should* not offer any comment on Toobzie’s predicament except to maybe endorse the decision of the courts. PERIOD. To make any comment gives the impression that his comment matters which shows that he thinks his opinion is better than the law!!!!

And that’s the problem with the whole stinkin’ den of thieves. IF they didn’t think this way we would not be looking at rampant criminal activity in the highest levels of our government becoming the status quo.

It’s really shocking.

It also signifies THIS is the kind of treatment he would like when his failings are discovered. Feh.

Why couldn’t Reid, Jane? Because Reid can’t see past his nose. He has zero political instincts and I still laugh at his image of being an ex-boxer, you know, boxing is the sport where you have to know where the next punch is coming and react before it’s thrown.

As you said, Jane:

Worst. Political. Instincts. Ever.

He sucks.
