Aloha, ES!
hiya ES!
Hey Eureka
good evening Eureka, CT, Teddy and newtonusr
Good evening all.
Hiya Pups,
Hello to all! Back in Cleveland, and a beautiful drive from Phila it was.
Hi, Christine
Hi Chris. Glad you’re back, safe, warm.
I have been off the toobz all day. anything going on out there that I should know about?
The ice storm in Pennsylvania before Christmas was horrible for the trees and for driving, but I’ll tell you, it was beautiful. A terrible beauty that I walked around in for days on the property of my in-laws. It was a fairy land.
OK who clogged the tooobz? My first video is still loading.
Welcome home, CE.
OK, the vids – very nice mix. I’m liking Beauty.
Hey ES!
Toobz clogged a lot while I was roaming in PA. I’m looking for Rufus Wainwright Bewitched and can’t find a YouTube for tonight.
RW
This?
Yes, I really like Beauty, though the video is a bit rough.. Beast video reminds me of everything from a bad day at the office to the children of Palestine and Iraq… though it does end on a sunny note.
Ever see that movie? I’ve never heard of it.
Oh newt, that’s it — I just love this song, and the film. I think that Mr. CE and I’ve watched it ten times and we love it better each time.
No, but the soundtrack was given to me as a gift by someone who saw the play.
Excellent.. I’m always looking for recommendations for my netflix queue.
I knew the movie was based on the play, but my “teenage former self” is crazy for the lead character played by Dominick Cooper — he is headed for stardom.
I am creating a hate map of the world. All the areas with hateful populations will be a certain color. A strategic love map will be overlain with overlays of love plans. Color coded for need of food, shelter and clothing. Will a logistic plan to supply those needs.
The Religious hate areas (Fundamentalist Christians, Extreme Muslims and other warlike groups) will be targets for love clouds of acid rain or mist. The stoned combatants will be recorded on tape hugging one another and joy dancing like the flower children of the happy hippie days in the bay area.
Whenever combatants gather they will be treated with music and the happy mist. Mace will no longer be used, weapons will become obsolete. Happiness will encompass the planet and earth will be renamed Joy.
Then somebody spoke and I awoke…
I love it!
Many artists dream their work and awake…and then get it done!!
I know..sounds childish.
I’m just another child of an artist. Dreams are the life force that save us from our mundane acceptance of imposed reality. Or whatever it was Mom always said!
You could name the whole project Dogmatta.
Singing joy to the world
All the boys and girls now
Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea
Joy to you and me.
Three Dog Night has the answer Jeramiah was a billfrog he was a good friend of mine…I helped him drink hi wine. So funny so good forget the cars and the bombs.
Three Dog Night…Dogmatta…a plan is evolvling as our hearts beat. In order to implement the plan we will from a World congress of children who will be in charge of the Joy Power Mist. Bullies get first mist. We already have war maps where hostilities are channeled into violence. So hit em with that joy mist and happy tunes instead of cluster bombs.
Dogmatta sounds like a dogone good idea
You always do a great job of expanding my view from my little world.
Thanks ES.
Since we won’t have many more evenings of 2008 left, this is my hope forall of us in 2009 – that the whole freaking last 8 years was a very disturbing and disorienting dream.
Bob Newhart knew what he was talking about.
Busteded’s web site says don’t buy cheap tools you get your knickles busted…well I say weapons are the cheap tools for peace. The real tools for peace are universal health care. food, shelter and clothing.
Sharing not stealing from others. Helping and giving not feeding greed.
That is what Christmas is supposed to be about. That is what life should be about.
ANytime, busted.. I never know what I will find out there myself.
BTW, congratulations on your blog honors!
Weapons are the cheap tools for peace? Don’t tell that to the Bush oligarch or they’ll raise their prices!
Kansas City-Wilbert Harrison-1959
We danced all night…rockin and rollin to the good vibes, Healthy and happy because we could. Dance your way to happiness with this easy rythm…standin on the corner of 12th street and vine…with my Kansas city baby and my bottle od Kansas City wine. 1959 sing it Wilbert… oh yah…they got some crazy little women their and I am going to get me one.
They are too cheap too plan for all the needs of the worlds people so they have wars instead and fight over the limited resources.
6 Billion people food shelter, clothing and medical. Include infrastructure for water and sewer conservative $10,000 per person that is $60 trillion a year including enough for green altrnative energy.
Buckminster Fuller
Bucky thought correctly that enough of the earth’s resources had been collected, when recycled could provide for the demands. ANd that their was enough reources for the inhabitants of the planet.
“Selfishness,” he declared, “is unnecessary and hence-forth unrationalizable…. War is obsolete.”
You gotta love it Bucky States… “War is obsolete.”
RIP Delaney Bramlett.
I do love Bucky.. Long dead and still way ahead of our times.
Well I’m turning in
Good night firedogs
nite eureka
“applying the principles of science to solving the problems of humanity”. Buckminster Fuller
Nothing there about faith folks. It works.
For a better tommorrow rest well tonight peace
nite pups
I’m trying hard to believe that great minds like Buckminster Fuller will again be part of the national dialog. We have so many now that will never be given their full due, as I far as I can tell. Not with the takeover of mainstream media.
It’s hard to see outside the new “revolution” when it’s only just beginning. If it is indeed a political turning point in our country’s path. Or just an “almost”.
I’ve been watching the John Adams mini-series[we got them on netflix] and realizing the cost of revolution in terms of personal sacrifice.
It’s hard to imagine Americans making those gut-wrenching choices in this day and age.
But maybe, like our founders, a time will come when the present oppression is no longer acceptable to the common citizen.
All I can focus on is our small community’s needs. And our young Iraq vets returning home so damaged and in need of care.
We have a huge boulder to roll uphill.
I didn’t mean to imply my knowledge of the American Revolution came from the John Adams series. It didn’t. I was raised on Kenneth Roberts,a” historian’s historian”. My father’s doing. Made me totally unfit for the pablum they taught in school.
Attaturk is upstairs!
At least the year is almost up
