Evening, Suz!
Way ahead of you.
Cold up there tonight?
Frostyish here.
warming up as a matter of fact. the slow snow melt has become a fast melt and there are flood warnings in the usual places – none for me but it may impact my drive into tilly tomorrow.

Dig is open!

44 Degrees and climbing here, 65 tomorrow a scorcher of a day here !!
Dugg !!
Did the down time last night bring any noticeable changes?
I’m starting to dry off a little here… Wicked winter weather…
And there was a little excitement in the air… Lightning hits Hawaiian Airlines jet…
it seems to have gone smoothly – but it was some sorta hardware thingie and not a bring back the new comments banner nor fixed show text thingie :(
that power failure didn’t impact you ct – you are on another island correct?
There is still plenty of the cursed evil white shit outside and I really don’t give a shit.
I stuck my head out a couple of times and it is raining and the evil white shit is receding and it is a balmy eighty degrees here in The Rat Hole.
I has plenty to eat, enough booze to knock over a bull elephant and enough smokes to get through till tomorrow.
Christmas is finally over and I can just lay back and scratch myself and have a few drinks and chat with my pals.
Happy Holidays peeps.
happy ho ho ho busted
no white stuff here – i hear your neck of the woods is under flood watch for melting snow and rain
where there’s life there’s hope…
I lost power for only a few minutes when Lightning struck nearby, Yes, I’m on another Isle than Oahu where Obama is… I shut down my computer early last nite so I wouldn’t risk any damage…
Bad Wi-Fi t’nite
If this gets through
Good night everyone !!
Let it.
I am two blocks from the Columbia river, they open the floodgates and away it goes.
The Washougal river might flood but I ain’t worried about it.
Ho Ho Ho and a shot of One fifty one.
g’nite bbugs
Oof, that 151 is some nasty shirt…! G’thud indeed…! ;-)
Aloha, billy!
Gnite Ctuttle and I wish you a very Happy New Year my man.

Hey late late nite pups! Central CA coast bone chilling cold spell getting very tiresome. We wish we were in Hawaii for the new year.

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAAAA!
I knew I couldn’t fool ya.
Palestianians dodging Isreali bombs. The TV station was wiped out but they are still on hte air. Not surprised by the attack then. Their mapped areas shrinkng to less thhan 10% of unproductive land.
Gee didn’t our Native Americans have similar experiences… called reservations which they were told to stay in.
And didn’t the Jews have something called a ghetto they had to stay in?
I must be missing something here…cause USA media doesn’t see the problem.
Yeah it was those savages we put on the reservation…right because they wanted their land.
Shock and Awe Isreali style. The season for Peace?
Great tune indeed! Also your ossifer alarms too, eh? Well, the Lightning seems to be back with a vengeance… I shall bid ya’ll a fond adieu! Aloha Oe!!!
Oh, alright.
Here is my all time favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd tune.

I’ll be nice and leave y’all with these purty tunes. Have a nice evening pups.
Hey NPB! Spent some quality time at your museum site recently. What an interesting artist Stowitts was.
aloha ct – stay safe
Nite CT
I’d give a lot to see what would happen if you and Suz traded blogs for a day.
;)
LOL!
he’d come back to pink gingham curtains hanging in the rat hole and my mother would be giving me a call with a stern talking to about my language.
Pink gingham? I’d never have guessed that about you, Suz!
Evenin’, Suz, Pups!
FunnyD
well, i figure since i’d end up with that phone call from the little woman, i’d rearrange everything at the rathole and what could be the worst thing i could add – pink gingham curtains would certainly grrlie up the rathole
Central coast 100 miles south…sunny all day no complaints here just cold when the sun starts to set.
Watching the sunset down by the bay some new friends had a yellow lab puppy he was just so cute and wonderful they were on the tail gate of their Tacoma with shell and he was hanging with them what a swell family unit. They do a lot of cayaking and biking. He is going to be a big stocky boy…bonus points he does not bark. An especially sweet dog. We are gonna be friends as they are friends with other folks I know. A couple of guys were sitting nearby on the boardwalk playing a guitar and singing tunes. Watching the sunset is a nice way to end the day…just like the 60 and 70s as was the custom saying goodnight to our sun by the water.
Cussing and pink gingham.
Crap I just wrote Mrs. Cheney’s new novel’s title for her.
Very true.
Maybe you and Busted could get an episode on HG-TV!
FunnyD
Or Rita Mae Brown’s?
good evening, folks. this is just a drive-by. Digg and run. Have relatives visiting. talk to you all later, have a good nite.
my name is suzanne and i watch hgtv
waving at the drive-by, neuro – g’nite
hey bb, my dog is a sweet girl who also does not bark. Only times I have heard her bark is when approaching 2 different men, neighbors, on our walks. I listen to her.
token rarely barks – but he does bark at the wind. this old place sometimes sounds like a boat creaking when its blowing hard.
In collaboration with Scooter Libby? He’s a deft hand at soft porn.
lol! Hadn’t thought of her in ages.
Why do Isrealis have to drive the Palestinians out of their land?
No no! Gah.
Hello, Suzanne!
wow, its 50 right now in portland, they just reached their high temp for the day
Now that’s just wacky.
Hope that warm air is comin’ my way, though!
FunnyD
As I was folding the clear plastic four times to insulation the bedroom window from draft and the cold panes…I remembered a hike one spring up Raton pass New Mexicao way. The snow was melting and it was still cold on the top in the meadows. Our companions had old parachutes…as we made teepees with poles the snow started to fly we went inside and it was toasty and roomy. The birds were very chummy when the snow stopped.
Wondering if the old building could use parachutes hung from the ceiling canopy style.
Indians were not stupid they survived here 25,000 years without screwing it up. It took us only 200 years. The sasme concepts of sustainability can be reapplied.
looks like its in south seattle now… headed north
its an old stick built house that creaks :) i like the sounds myself – its like the willow and the oak parable. this place has withstood everything the last 100 years has tossed at it.
Yay!
Thanks for the update
Girl that works at the coffee shop by the bay lives on a 27 foot boat moored in the Bay where she rents a slip for $200.00 a month. She just got a solar electric panel set up for $200.00 off of the internet…so cool being sustainable. Now she has heat in the boat stored from the solar batteries. She is thinking of some wind generators too.
Life is good when you use your noodle for something besides a hat rack.
Then again, Suz
I’m seeing “Snow, 100% chance of precip” on weather underground.
Talk about domestic terrizm!
FunnyD
precip could be rain – it just means wet. this is blowing up from the south and may start out as snow but will warm up to rain.
Yeah, I think you’re right.
Can’t tell you how nice it was to drive on mostly bare and wet roads today! Xmas day and yesterday the car was doing a Buck and Wing dance through the deep snowy-slushy crap.
But I’ve only had to dig myself out once…with my trusty dustpan!
FunnyD
hey busted – what is in that ‘get home bag’ you blogged about? bet it includes a snow shovel or something ya can use as a snow shovel.
I rented as fixer just South of downtown Portland 1970 same deal the 2×4s were just that stouter thicker diminsion a little ruffer milled. I pulled green chain for a year in a mill town in the Cascades East of Eugene. And they did not have code of 16″ on center or insulation required.
I lived in a creaky house in Va that was anti bellum mansion central heating added 60 South of Monticello Jefferson’s home. It creaked like halloween and it had ghost too. They called it Mount San Angelo had the columns around to hold up th eporch roof. Heated by fireplaces in each room.
none of my abodes has had anything like that much character!
FunnyD
Suzaanne what kind of wild life have you seen around your adopted home? Birds, beats, deer, seals?
Time to mount up on the treadmill. Stay dry and warm.
night, bigbro
g’nite bb – i’ve seen a lotta birds – there’s elk but not seen any and i saw a yearling black bear cub on cape lookout my first day here. lotsa deer too but looking out on the bay, mainly birds.
the dude’s abodes.
If anyone is seeking yet another reason to get seriously POed, take a look at the document Harry Marcopolos submitted to the SEC (three years ago) making the case Madoff was running a Ponzi scheme.
Not light reading and I don’t pretend to understand. But clearly he did. He itemized a ton of red flags, and laid out their case for them.
The WSJ has dedicated a page to Madoff, the pdf of Marcopolos’ submission is there.
:-)
hey pun
heya
Bye the way if you scrollup to Seattle and look at the amazing inland waterways that go p to AK you can see the watershed inland that feed into it. My grandfather had a 120 yacht that he had at the Seattle Yacht Club…I saw it when my dad took us to sell it. The pictures of the hunting trips fpr sheep in those inlets are amazing as is the geography. One trip they came acroos some bear cubs…they replaced the mast with a fir tree and hauled the cubs home to Seattle where thy ended up in a zoo.
Well, my dearpups,
I’m fading fast and have a brunch date in the morning, so I’ll bid you a fond goodnight!
FunnyD
g’nite funny d
Should this be enough to put SEC Chair Cox away?
SEC was told repeatedly of the Madoff ponzi scheme…new investors pay old debt. Open theft of $50 billion he admitted it in exchange for getting to stay out of jail? But reefer could get you life if you are a 3 time loser!
Money trumps justice. Wow just wow.
This dates to the beggining of the Bush administration 2001! Hope Phoenix Women sees this. Good get Sunny.
I was being nice , I promise!
Yep, I have a very tiny folding shove in it. It is in a little case and would be more appropriate for my momas macaroni salad but waayyy better than no]
\\\\\thing i you
were stuck.
Sorry bout that, the forking cats have a thing about me typing. I should be petting them instead,I have both of them laying on me, one sideways on my chest, on lengthwise on my legs and there is going to be fur flying here in a second…..
shovel.
forking cats.
sweet dreams Funnydiva
what else is in there busted?
By the way the Credit default swaps are running a Quadrillion dollars a year! No wonder they killed the Sabbanes Oxley Act. Wall street banks have been gaming the system for decades.
Read Massacio’s post today on CDS. The banks make fees risk is bartered outside of regulations. The econbomy is so so rotten. Credit is still frozen after over a trillion bailout. Paulson and Bernanke are running interference for the hedge funds banks and heavy bettors. It is a monumental cover up of levereged risks…as I say presenbtly running a quadrillion a year…1000 trillions! It is to astounding to comprehend. The corporate entities are carrying so much debt that banks cannot loan to them. The toxic shitpile is unmanageable and the all the governments in the world cannot bail it out. Time for a replay of the French Revolution. The Dems are part of it.
bb,
Passive House
Or maybe you linked to this? Anyway, it’s sure a neat idea. No furnace, and these houses are going up all over Germany.
wow that is forking kewl
Marcopolos is an interesting guy. Ethics, isn’t that something?
Vodka.
Some xtra dry socks in a zip lock bag, a wool sweater, two cans of sardines, a can of Corned beef some votive candles, a wrist rocket sling shot, a space blanket, waterproof matches and a basic First Aid Kit.
Oh yeah, two Swiss Army type knives, one with a fork, spoon and knife, these are hard to find these days.
A multipurpose tool , garbage bags and an umbrella, soap, a dishrag and a yard of tinfoil.
I highly recommend getting a get home bag.
The other things area tiny Dollar Store pocket radio with extra batteries and a pair of glasses.
I also keep a couple of blankets behind the seat and a gallon of water in the back.
you should do a post about this busted – and the whys – why two swiss army knives – in case one breaks? are the sardines negotiable?
time for me to head off to bed pups. g’nite and thanks for hanging out with me tonight.
I just might.
The sardines are negotiable but have a great deal of faqt and protien.
Some Cup ‘O’ soups would require water and heat,
you want something you can just open and eat.
The two Swiss Army knives are for redundancy but they are both completely different models with different features.
Both, however, have can opener attachments.
Gthud Suzanne and Happy Holidays.
nite suzanne.
nite suz
me too
yo
Yo, Bro.
Good morning, pups. It’s Friedman, Kristof, Egan and Rich today. Mr. Friedman, in “Win, Win, Win, Win, Win…” says we have got to stop “taking off the table” the gasoline tax, the tool that would add leverage to everything we want to do at home and abroad. Mr. Kristof thinks there may be “A New Chance for Darfur.” He says Sudan fears the Obama administration, and now for the first time in years, there’s a real chance of ousting President Omar Hassan al-Bashir and ending his murderous regime. Mr. Egan, in “The Pre-Blame Game,” says as President Bush fogs up history’s rearview mirror, Barack Obama does have a clean slate. He deserves none of the pre-emptive blame his critics are trying to assign to him. Lastly Mr. Rich, in “You’re Likeable Enough, Gay People,” addresses the fact that Barack Obama’s disingenuous defense of his tone-deaf invitation to the Rev. Rick Warren is an asterisk to the joyous inaugural of our first black president.
Here they all are.
The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and I’ve got chocolate croissants that I got while doing errands yesterday. Off to dog-sit for friends who are spending Christmas in Bethlehem, and then to choir. Have a great day.
