Have we all recovered? Obviously, the big topic today is to get out there and shop. Big savings while you spend your bucks…oxymoron.
The only dough they’re gettin’ outta me is for my weekly acquisition of tiger food. Sometimes I think I keep PetsMart in business all by my lonesome.
Morning twolf!
love the video — and that is a whole lot of candidates running for office in Iraq.
I hear they have swing sets on sale today :D
Mornin’ All !
Well, they are certainly deserving. The other big push here is to go adopt from the shelter. If I have to really get the shopping bug, I think I will go check out socks and undies…and call it patriotism.
Oh, like mine would go near the thing. Store bought toys rot where I put them. Balled up piece of paper or a shoestring and there’s a whirlwind of tigers. I bought a really cool battery operated mouse a few months ago. They sit and watch it buzz around the floor.
As the global economy moves into Depression (full blown banking and credit crisis accompanied by deflation, rising unemployment and falling wages – with all forms of retail goods stacking up at the ports awaiting willing buyers),

SPCA here advertises in everything they can. Folks turning in their pets because of foreclosure have inundated the shelters. Mostly puppers. Sad. Wish I had 100 acres fenced.
When I was a kid, ours would seriously climb the Christmas tree. One year we completely gave up and took the thing down on Christmas afternoon. They won, of course.
Funny watching little kids opening presents. Often they prefer the boxes to the contents.
Last time I put a tree up they destroyed it in a blink of the eye. Now I’m told they’re not safe for felines for a number of reasons.
Don’t you wish you still had the imagination of a small child? I bought a desk lamp couple weeks ago and left the box on the floor. Tigers love it. I’m easily amused.
Reminder:
Josh Marshall is on Washington Journal right now.
I’m not recommending the death penalty but it would be nice if the US actually held corp execs to account for willfully putting humans at risk so as to profit.

If you are not going to have accountability, seems this might be the next best thing. For certain, their attention would be had.
We used to have an FDA and other regulatory agencies that monitored that stuff. Now the FDA would approve arsenic in baby food if it meant more of a profit for the manufacturer.
One of the things for which I will always curse bush and his cronies is that they have managed to destroy any faith I ever had or ever will have in such agencies. A pox forever on every member of the “drown government in a bathtub” crew!
Good Mornign. And now as a special post-Xmas gift –
It’s Barbara Steele Day!
or look the other way, as in the melamine milk in Halloween candy
I noticed that neither Norquist or any of his blind followers had anything to say when China flooded our country with melamine laced products. They weren’t screaming about how ineffectual FDA was. Says a lot about them.
Oo the Boston Globe photos – thanks for bringing them here!
Or even that pitiful woman who speaks on behalf of her “successful” FDA. Scary.

“The former head of the Chinese company that produced melamine tainted powdered milk may face the death penalty.”
What would happen to him/her in the US? Why, collect his/her multi-million dollar bonus and salary and go right on…
