Let’s see if I have this straight.

1. Hamas attacks Israel with rockets, notwithstanding that Gaza is dependent on Israel for vital supplies.

2. Israel stops providing supplies to the people who are attacking it with rockets.

3. People get mad at Israel, which resumes supplying Gaza.

4. Hamas continues attacking Israel with rockets.

5. Ian Welsh sez there will probably be a war, because Israel is so war-like.

Weird.

The choice to legitimate the political power of the Fundies with Warrren says nothing going to change in the White House policy. The Chief of Staff
choice was a strong indicator as well.
Unless the Joint Chiefs decide on a different Middle East strategy..Isreal has always been our power base…the Palestinians will be a target that they will crush. Will the rest of the Muslim world stand by and watch?
The Fundies are not supported by the mainstream protestant churhes…they believe in peace.
Isreal brings us war without end. Is that what the Muslim world wants?

Abbas has nothing to offer. He is totally at the beck and call of the Israeli leaders. He can only do what they want him to do, he has nothing to offer the Palestinians except more submission to the Israelis. Hammas, on the other hand, has a lot to offer to the people. Hospital care, schools and an army that will not be kowtowed by Israeli aggression. Hammas learnt well from Hezbollah that if you treat the people well they will respond. Israel and America still seem to think that it is necessary to kill everyone to get them to agree with you.
