What’s on your mind tonight?
Hey!
Aloha, ES! Neuro, :-P
Good evening CT…)
Heh. DId you read through he Army Field manual link this evening. I set it aside.. and now I don’t remember why it was of interest. *blush*
Eureka!
Bookmarked and I relayed it to Ranger Against War, Sept ‘08 edition…? That’s seriously hot off the presses…! ;-)
nite doctor
Diggergideroo!
Good evening ES, Nuero and CT.
ES I have been cogitating on the meat eating thing you do. Aside from the animals point of view wild game must be a chem/anti bacterial free meat.
Have you made a rich crust meat pie?
hiya ES, neuro, CT! names i recognise tonight *g*
what’s on my mind tonight is the mega sinus infection that’s keeping me home from my 2nd shift job tonight. it wasn’t the sinus infection as much as the, ummm, poor reaction shall we say, to the antibiotics keeping me home. I’m being switched to a different class of drugs tomorrow, so i get to play tonight, hurrah!
It was gotten earlier, but yours overtook it. I will fix it now.
I’ve never heard of it. Now that you mention it.. I don’t think I have ever considered making any sort of meat pie.
What am I missing?
hi ndfg!
NDFG!
Probably the only meat pie I have eaten is Shepherd’s Pie, at an Irish pub on St. Patrick’s Day.
Foreclosure is on my mind. Got a letter from the bank today. We have maybe four months to live in the house. We haven’t made a house payment in five months. We have only had the money for utilities, food and meds. I was depressed about but a person just cannot sustain that level of funkyness. How does a person find a place to live after this is on your credit?
ndf! Nice to see you in any condition…)
I took some dollar store nyquil like syrup last night.. Knocked me out for 12 hours.. and I felt like crap from the meds all day. But my nose sure dried up.
*waves at newton*
Damn, Mary. This sucks.
You got a lawyer?
thanks!
Probably start saving for a little higher deposit now.. rent from an individual who isn’t listed with some big corporate filtering set up.
So sorry mary.. I bet rents are high in your area.
((( mary ))) no easy answers for you, as i’m struggling to find a place to live myself.
is your mortgage held by one of the banks that got the government
giveawaybailout?i’ve been considering a headectomy, as the one i have sure hasn’t been working too well
Get help..call congress critter if you want to keep the place. Negotiate with lender of record…the refi program is coming next year. Figure what you will have to pay for rent and offer that much as good faith. Call the governors office. Contact legal aid. Claim fraud on the loan. Get the paper in it.
No money for a lawyer or rent either. I have been freelancing doing website design but the people I am working for pay terribly. If they don’t get paid then I don’t get paid. They told me recently that one of my clients decided he didn’t like the site and that I wasn’t going to get paid for it. I called the guy and he told me it was the “backend” work he didn’t like. The employer did the backend work and wants me to take the fall for his lack of ability. I keep the job cause it is the only one I can find right now. fuckery. Between the healthcare issue, Katrina and the economy I consider myself a person who totally understands Rev. Wright.
Keep something in your tummy.. That stuff will tear up your gut.
Sac was listed today as one of the ten worst housing markets in the US, CNN.
Rents are tough as more people move from foreclosed to rentals.
Aren’t you a health care professional? If so, I am sure there must be alternatives. *s*
These temperatures have been rough.. wild 50 or more degree swings every few days.
sounds like the climate has gone bipolar
Thanks.. I had no idea. Though it does seem to suppress ones appetite a bit.
Hey everyone.
Sacramento can’t be as expensive as LA, but it ya ain’t got the dough, it doesn’t really matter.
NDFG – I don’t like sinus infections or adverse reactions, but I’m glad you’re here.
Tough stuff going on these days. Don’t I know it. Well, indeedy, I do.
No presents under the tree, but I’ve been a baking fool, if anyone’s up for cookies or slices of blueberry loaf, cranberry loaf. I’m saving the struessel for my daughter who arrives from DC tomorrow.
I like Zapruder. Nice to hear some flute.
that cranberry loaf sounds mighty good right now. or the blueberry. :)
No kidding.. I liked what he said and I don’t consider myself to be Christian or religious.
The whole forking world is crooked. While reading Ian’s great post last night I was reminded of al the times I had a chance to really score big time financially.. it was a crooked deal with crooked folks behind them.
Still don’t regret turning them all away.
ES, no, i’m not a health care professional, i’m your average ditsy artist. I guess you’re right tho, i reeeeaaaalllly need my eyes for my job.
Demi! mmmm, thankee! I’ll have a little nibble of cranberry loaf. Anyone want some decaf tea if i brew a pot?
Ha! I had to post it because it reminded me of a video I made with some friends a few years back.
Here ya go. Warmed up with a little buttah? And some pretend eggnog?
oh, yes, please!
Sorry, I just whipped up a bunch of chicken fajitas for the better half and myself! She just got home from spending my paycheck that I just deposited…! Easy come, Easy go…! ;-)
Good to hear she’s up walking around.
at least she came back after she spent it, unlike some people i know
Join the club, Honey.
*oof* True…! *g*
That’s a good thing…? ;-)
I’m sucking up some Tension Tamer right now.
Here’s a cuppla slices of loaves right now. Kinda late in the evening to offer the fishes to go along with that. *g*
heh, i consider it a good investment in a diet that lost me a lot of weight in a big hurry *g*
Of course. And with a hug too.
Hey grrrlll! Glad to see you, hope you feel much better soon.
Oh, honey.
What can I say? Other than it sucks and I been thinkin’ about ya. Just cause we haven’t talked lately, doesn’t mean I haven’t been lifting you up, because I have.
I don’t have any answers, but people be weird sometimes.
LOL… My name is Emit and I’m no longer in it. *g*
Voice of experience :(
Today’s tea selection: Peets Pumphrey’s Blend.
thanks demi! I’d be glad to talk on fb if you want, didn’t mean to bring it up here but my sense of humor gets away with me sometimes. (and i can sure feel all the sustaining thoughts people have been sending my way)
*waves at Margo* when i was being so overwhelmingly swamped with work, your flowers and art over on FB were always day brighteners {{{ margo }}}
Do we have to google, or are you going to tell us?
1,865 DAYZ AND THE KILLIN’ GOEZ ON AND ON AND…
Citizen Eureka Springs and the Firepup Freedon Fighters:
Hey there Citizen ES keep the action hot and the music cool…have a greatb Xmas FDLers.
I am a tea rookie, and I got some schooling here last night.
BTW, it was bitter.
Let’s do that. But to be honest, maybe not until after the 25th. Got my girlie here starting tomorrow. But, yeah, I’d love to. I’ll write ya, Skinny.
Got some honey, honey?
Great holiday to you too Norske.
I’m sure you are right.
And yes, I do now.
Not right, just lucky some times.
You too, Norske.. I bet you are busy flamethrower this time of year. Don’t stand under large icicles for to long with that thing.
Our cheeks are nice and rosey
And comfy cozy are we.
Trying to re-embrace caffeine without drinking coffee. Not at all like weaning off whole to 2% milk.
definitely! Next few days are busy busy busy.
Mele Kalikimaka and Ha’ole Makahiki Hou, Norske…! ;-)
If you are trying to blow up my spell checker. /s
I usually try to bake some fun recipes this time of year.. but I just can’t find the inspiration.. and I have more than enough energy.
Man, I haven’t had whole milk in a long time, a coon’s age…I accidently bought skim a couple of weeks ago, and didn’t even realize it until a family member pointed it out.
I loved my licorice spice tea until they stopped selling it. Oh, well. Moved on to some other tamer types and actually carry some in my purse for if I’m out at a restaurant or something.
I drink 1 or 2 sometimes cups of coffee first thing in the morning, but never after that. Old ladies like me have to be careful. :)
Say it three times quickly…! ;-)
Someone dropped some really interesting mulled cider recipes here a few weeks ago. Now that I could go for. Must.Find.
Giddy up, giddy up, giddy up, let’s go…
Oh yeah.. or glögg.
is FDL turning into a glogg blog?
Okay, guys. I got my hot chocolate with whipped cream and I’ll share, but then it’s book time for me.
deck us all with Boston Charlie, Walla Walla, Wash, and Kalamazoo!
And Timbucktoo?
Night night you. I hope you get some moments of peace between the busy busy busy.
I remember having some glogg at a ski lodge in VT’s Killington, on a nice snowy New Year’s eve awhile back…! Great nite…! ;-)
swaller dollar cauliflower alley-garoo!
My gypsy cold care tea is finished, so i should tuck myself into bed. It’s been great swimming in the Lake again {{{Firepups!}}}
See, this is really bad. Cause this is the kind of drink that you drink until waaaaay past the point of shit-facedness before you realize…
Oh, did I say that out loud?
(((Newdealfarmgirl)))
Tucking you in with a kiss on your forehead.
I’m out now too.
Aloha, NDFG, I did bid ya a fond adieu at the Beach Haus, too…! ;-)
Yeah, I don’t plan on driving the day I make glogg. BTW, My recipe, given to me by a German friends mother, takes a day to make.
Aloha, demi!
it’s about that time.
good nite, folks.
Heh, I found that out the hard way… Standing up can pose a problem…! ;-)
Aloha, neuro!
Sweet dreams when you get there, CT!
g nite nuero
Being a lightweight doesn’t help either.
This is tragic…
I had already consumed many beverages prior… That was the coffin nail…! ;-)
Ah.
And as to your 92, tragic and somehow inevitable.
Four. I guess it’s time to look busy / investigate.
Now, now, you’re not implying that it’ll be whitewashed, again? Right? ;-)
Can you imagine.. war torn and weary.. sent home to spend 13 hours a day selling the war to kids and parents!
He’s ever so grateful he’s not back in Iraq, tho…! 8-(
Instead, he sits in livingrooms with parents and their sons and daughters, and has to cough up the case for sending them there.
Not having been in the service, I don’t know which is preferable – sheer Hell, or getting paid to consign youngsters to that Hell whilst their parents observe.
Fort Bragg’s 82nd Airborne to supply Afghanistan buildup
Unit to reprise role in Iraq troop surge
That is standard doctrine… The 82nd AA is always the ‘go to’ unit…
Yes.. I read somewhere earlier.. Pakistanis are really pressuring their government to disallow american supply routes.
Airborne may be flying in supplies for a long time.
Are the national guard units ever coming home? Or are they permanently melded into the perpetual GWOT?
That Combat Aviation Brigade isn’t for ferrying in supplies, it’s for inserting troops and limited resupply missions…! The Air Force does the ferrying…
My former Guard unit is due back in June from their second tour in Iraq…
Talk now of
20k30k more troops in Afghanistan.. even if many are from iraq.. I don’t know where they are coming from.. Most folks deployed have been for a long time. What happens to them then? Does the unit get deactivated? Do they sit around waiting to get called up for another tour? Do they get paid?
As a Sactan, in the godforsakenvalleythattimeforgot, I’m here to tell ya the recession, suppression and depression started in 2003.
We is LIGHT years ahead of the rest of the country for jobs and income losses . . .
And as CA goes, so goes the nation . . . all y’all best worry a bit.
OUR Gov is as insane as Nero was . . . and you shouldn’t need THIS Larue to spell it out for ya.
It’s ugly people, harumph.
This is wild…
Ho, Ho, Ho…! ;-)
Not from the federal dole… Hopefully, they get their old jobs back that they left behind…! By law they’re entitled to it…
LOL Fly me to Milan..
Well I’m turning in.
Good night firedogs
Aloha, ES, Sleep tight!
I was actually in Sac today, drove through my old neighborhood near Consumnes. The place – it was a shiny new subdivision in ‘93 when I bought – looked like a junk heap. I saw foreclosure signs everywhere.
nite eureka
An excerpt from the Bush book.

Sounds bleak.
‘nite eureka. Thanks for the hospitality. Be well.
CT, when do ya wanna talk about the Brits in Basra and their defunct paperwork to stay or leave? The Parlimentary cease and halt Maliki called . . the resignation and UNresignation of the Speaker of Iraq’s Parliment? The votes against and for shutting down the Parliment?
And let’s chat about what’s gonna happen to the US Forces who have to fill that gap in Basra, and are in the gunsights that Steve Gilliard spoke about long ago? Once OUR SOFA is either dismissed, or runs out?
And let’s talk about Maliki being Ngo Ding Diem’ed within the next few months by our own CIA (cus in case ya never heard, we is now going Sunni/B’aathist) or who ever is doing the dirty work overseas in the name of AID or USOM anymore?
And let’s talk about if the US military, who’s been all OVER the blogosphere lately, is going to RENAME our troops from active to SUPPORT, and stay there for decades, let’s talk about THEIR potential survival.
And let’s talk about the Afghan supply routes that are being attacked, and let’s talk about how we the MIGHTY USA is gonna enforce interventionist imperial policy abroad while our supply lines and our troops are being shredded to bits by an increasing Taliban Influence while Russia and China are supplying and supporting Iran and Afghanistan forces . . .
Love ya CT, but let’s talk about the shit on the ground and the shit that’s gonna kill USA abroad and here at home due to our interventionist issues . . .
If we don’t change our interventionist ways we are dead as a country.
And our death will come from our own internal failures, born of our external failures.
*G*
Love ya CT, yer one of the good guys.
Ya never answer my questions, though . . *G*
Dang, Burkett should’ve grabbed that counseling Statement from the trash can… Maybe it could’ve spared us from the Bush maladministration…! ;-)
What became of Jim Bath?
The purported coup attempt was merely Maliki blowing smoke/cleaning house… Most of your other questions can only be answered by time…! Tho, Maliki’s in a bind if he falls for the relabeling shenanigans…! ;-)
Good question, no clue…!
Well, I shall bid ya’ll a fond adieu! Aloha Oe!!!
Attaturk is upstairs!
Don’t let the close set, beedy eyes, fool you
