Maybe Sean can explain to us curious citizens why our taxes are being used to fund a Department of Homeland Security infomercial (using our tax dollars) for their E-Verify program.

Even NPR had a hard time explaining that one.

If the DHS wants to hire a spokesperson with credibility and good judgment, they should look past Sean Smith to candidates that do not have a record of accusing political opponents of unfair election tactics when such accusations are demonstrably untrue. The Obama campaign promised a new kind of politics wherein integrity and good judgment ought to be two basic requirements.

Sean Smith, who falsely accused Ned Lamont (D-CT) of hacking Joe Lieberman’s (I-CT) website the day of the Connecticut primary in 2006, has been selected to be the new Administration’s spokesperson at the Department of Homeland Security.

A federal investigation revealed that the Lieberman campaign was responsible for their own website crashing [http://tinyurl.com/9lbfhn]. Sean Smith first proposed the “hacked website” story the day of Ned Lamont’s primary victory over incumbent then-Democratic Senator Joe Lieberman.

Chris presses Sean on his claims and what is apparent is that Sean Smith’s accusations are unjustified, and highly charged so as to prejudice voters against Lieberman’s opponent.

and you got the sleepover part right, a lot of people bring tents. or stay up all night. it’s even kid friendly, they get tired and go to their tent, parents party on. it’s high up on my ‘fun’ list. even when i just build a little one for myself.
