"I thought about what it would be like for me to become president during this period," Bush said. "I believe that good policy is not to dump him a major catastrophe on his first day in office."
There are so many things wrong with that, I don’t even know where to start. So many problems left festering out there, so many Bush/Cheney messes for others to be cleaning up for generations. So much shit we’ll all be wading through for years after this man leaves office.
If it’s so easy to tidy up his festering piles before the next guy comes in, why hasn’t he done it already?
I don’t even know what to say at this point other than to simply laugh out loud.
Consider this goofy YouTube your morning palate cleanser. Enjoy.

Fucker’s brilliant.
Some times we ask for brain bleach here.
Maybe this morning, the lake should provide laughing gas, because there just aren’t enough kl**nexes.
It might have been nice not to have created any damned mess in the first place. ((((sigh)))) Is it Jan 21st yet?
The man raises denial to levels we hadn’t even imagined existed.
Dems clean up and pay for Republican messes and Debt its tough to be the Grown ups in charge.
“I didn’t do it.”

Bush: I might not give a farewell address because I don’t want it to be too ‘emotional.
“President Bush, in a speech to the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, said yesterday that withholding government aid to the automakers is not an option and that he does not intend to leave behind a “major catastrophe” for President-elect Barack Obama in the auto industry.”
Well, isn’t that special?! I guess the, ahem, minor catastrophes and catastrophic successes Obama gets to keep.
God, it must be easy to be George W. Bush.
A bad auto deal will cause a worse problem after Bush leaves unless Obama changes it.
OT:
Ooopsy…

What bothered me about his speech was that it was all about him. He clearly doesn’t care how his actions affect other people. His only concern is his legacy, and how his presidency will be remembered as it relates to the economy.
He is afraid CNN will do a poll focus group line graph like at the debates while he is talking.
Could congress eliminate Dec 22, 2008 through Jan 20th noon, 2009. Bush is on a crapfest and needs to take his last ride on AF 1 now!
Well, in all fairness to Shrub he’s right… “…not to dump him a major catastrophe on his first day in office.”
It’s many…! ;-)

“Don’t cry for me, Paraguay!”
This song is not humorous, like Christy’s youtube, but it seems appropriate for this thread.

Not sung by the artist, Keb Mo, called Victims of Comfort. “Everyone likes the party, but no one wants to clean.”
I like Keb
Busy, busy, busy. He still has $350 billion to give away. You don’t expect the greedy bastards to leave a pile like that on the table do you?
According to that article Palins daughter is due Saturday. Did somebody steal the white shotguns?
He owes it all to his sacred mother. “g”
What a great video
Did you know his real name is Kevin Moore?
So, that would make me Deb Mo.
She get married yet?
I lost over 40% of my 401K, I am very unhappy, who I should blame, that selfish, stupid Dems, Bearny Frank, Dodd, refused to regulate the Fannie and Freddie upon demand from Repub. If you blame the deregulation of banks, that came from Dem 1999 Clinton’s Admin. So, it is time for Dem to clean and pay me back their mistakes. For they created bad products (subprimemortgage and damage the whole world).
I wrote a while ago that to understand Bush you have to start with his central premise which is nothing is ever his fault and work backwards. So this fits in with that. Since he was never to blame for his years of unremitting disaster, he can blithefully say that he would like to take care of some problem for Obama, even though of course in this case he really isn’t either.
I’m going to be very emotional when I say farewell to him. Delirious with joy…
Her yet-to-be-mother in law was arrested on drug charges. I hate it when I giggle.
You know, when I was younger, we were told (and I think it was true) that Presidents grow in office. Bush shrunk, if that’s possible. As to Reagan, he can claim medical disability.
I must be misunderstandering but if W wants America to spend, spend, spend to get out of this mess wont a lack of jobs and money be a problem?
I don’t think so but I could be wrong?
Another OT (Sorry, Christy):
Breaking: Franken takes the lead…
http://tpmelectioncentral.talk…..es_the.php
The Center Dem position is not much different from the GOP’s I am in favor of regulation.
It’s always been about him, and that’s been evident from the start. With Clinton, it was only partly about him, and the part that wasn’t was pretty damn good.
There aren’t enough shoes in the world.
Talk to Phil Gramm and Wall Street, sweet pea.
So in short he’s a Sociopath:)
What do you get someone who is going to prison for Christmas?
I love this quote from his interview. If I give it, it’s going to be trying to leave behind some lessons learned. Because of George Bush, I learned not to ever trust a Republican for office again.
For real?
I always knew you were beautiful! I could just tell.
A CD of “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer” ?????
BooRadley has an oxdown diary that says Obama is planning a $675-$775 billion stimulus over 2 years, call it $340-$390 billion a year. This will be just enough to keep us skating on the edge of depression without lifting us out of recession. Nothing on getting the banking system working again, nothing on helping distressed homeowners, nothing on re-regulation. I have to say this is very disappointing.
Paulson is also now asking for the other $350 billion from the TARP. I wouldn’t trust that f*cker with 50 cents let alone those billions. This is more bad news.
And then there is the bad kind of sort of temporary bailout of the auto industry.
Again what I am seeing from both Bush and Obama is too little and a failure to seriously address the fundamental problems of the financial meltdown.
Neither would I. I like to refer to Hugh’s list; it saves time for me ;-)
Thanks Hugh and Selise.
It’s supposed to dump snow here. And what’s worse when it snows in CT it’s suppposed to dump in Litchfield and Hartford, and not the shoreline. This snowstorm is not following the rules. I don’t like that.
:)
I thought you were supposed to bake a cake and insert something useful inside it.
I know, but this is the first time I can remember when he’s just come right out and said it.
I’ll say!
Great expect money to flee the country if that happens.
Franken now up by 62 in the ongoing Minnesota senate dust up…Nate says it’s gonna be close.
Hate to burst your bubble…Moore is my last name, but Deborah is my first. Demi is just my fdl handle. And, I’m not the one who chose it. T’was given to me by TRex.
OT, the chairman of GM is giving a news conference on MSRNC.
That sucks. I think some of the stink is probably bipartisan. Not all of it.
this is like mccain saying that he knew how to get bin Laden. well if you knew how to do it, why didn’t you f’ing do it?
Well TRex is a smart guy.
And anyway you’re still Demi Moore to me.
Thanks Christy.
digg
If you called yourself DoMo. It would sound too much like MoDo.
Why hasn’t he told anyone yet?
You’d think he’d be suspicious about that.
Yikes. I better stick with what I got.
Hmm and Bank of America plans to fire 30,000 workers over the next few years, including from the companies inquired. I hate company gutters.
*g*
(My husband thinks I’m beautiful, heh heh.)
Right cause explaining demi is better than explaining you are not MoDo’s twin.
Chas Krauthammer sputters that if Kennedy wants to be senator she should go out and get elected like everyone else….everyone cept those who get appointed that is…
What a waste of protoplasm that man is.
It was Democrats and Republicans working together that set up the conditions through deregulation for the housing bubble and subsequent financial meltdown but it was Bush who added to them and then took the whole shebang and ran the economy into the ground.
New post up top: Franken takes the REAL lead! And it’s his for keeps now.
Well, personally speaking, I do believe that someone who is appointed senator, should be someone who has been elected to something before.
So … he expects Congress to give “him” a 1900% net return on “his” bailout expenditure? That about what it works out to?
That video is totally spectacularly hilarious, Christy!
Bush will get emotional (has already) about ”leaving” because he’s going to miss living in the most cushy adoring bubble in the free world. And the staff that kiss the ground he walks on all day every day. He’s really really attached to all of that. Did anyone see Dana Perino on Larry King last night. Exhibit A.
Ari Fleischer is a sociopath too ~ watch the eyes.
I just called my Senators and told them to vote against giving Paulson the other $350 Billion. My Rep is AWOL because she’s retiring…
I told Voinovich’s staffer, “Vote no — Bush’s cronies have stolen enough.”
I’ll never forget that ABC/Disney/Karl Rove Battleship Potemkin production, Path to 9/11, with the not so subtle subtext: “It was Clinton’s fault.”
Well yes, I remember he sounded like he had a heart of ice, talking about bombing Iraq, pre-invasion. (If only someone had thrown a shoe at him and asked about widows and orphans.)
simply, beautifully PERFECT vid, Christy.
