I’m not a fan of Pastor Rick and I attend services (Methodist) every week.

Bottom line here, is the selection of a pastor to deliver one prayer on Inauguration Day really that important that everyone’s abandoning the ship here? Obama’s being inclusive. One can’t be inclusive by saying inclusive, but ‘you guys [name your group]’ can’t participate.

It’s a tempest in a teapot, until Obama seriously does something like perpetuate the gays in the Miltary stuff (which is ludicrous). There are many, many more things to have righteous indignation over. This isn’t one of ‘em.

Thanks for the scoop on Lowery dmac. I hope he rises to the occasion in a big way, but will he speak up on behalf of our LGBT citizens? Will he use the occasion to repudiate the hatefulness of Prop 8? I hope so. Warren may be well known in CA, but Prop 8 catapulted him into the national consciousness. If Lowery is to balance him, it has to go beyond slamming Bush and get to the heart of civil rights for all of our citizens.
