the problem with Digg, which leads to many double-Diggs, is that even after someone has posted a new Digg, ad Busted just did, I was able to go there and still receive an invitation to submit a new Digg. There seems to be a lag of several seconds between the time a new Digg is posted and the time it stops inviting new Diggs. Not an FDL problem, I’m sure, but worth Digging into.

I do love snow — and so do my kids. One is a ski nut, the other just loves to walk in it. Denver, NYC.

i don’t know if i like it or not. when i was a kid, we would hop in the station wagon and drive up to the snow in the sierras for a day. sledding on garbage can lids or a rubber tire on baby hills. about all i remember is cold. and wet. and mom’s chili cooked on the open tailgate in a huge cast iron skillet on the coleman stove.

Growing up in Pennsylvania, snow was beautiful if rare. Here in OH is is pretty common. I guess I love the silence it brings, as long as I am home and not driving in it!

Finished shopping for the holidays. I found lots of handmade pottery and paper goods, and in D.C. last weekend there was a great Christmas Market in front of the National Portrait Gallery. Bought lots of very inexpensive hand made items. My favorite kind of shopping.

I am still having major computer problems. I finally got pissed off and sent my Anti Virus and Spyware programs back into the ether in a burst of electrons and purchased a new Anti virus program and have been dicking around, bumping into things , since about four thirty this morning trying to figure this thing out.
It just flat kills my processor, this old turd just doesn’t have enough Horsepower to run this program. It did finally find SIX goddamn Trojans that the other programs couldn’t find but it uses wayyyyyyy too much of my available processor output.
This thing is so freaking slow now, I can barely run one tab in one window!

I went to the Digg site and filed a Bug Report on our experience at Late Late Nite tonite (which has happened so many times before). I can’t believe they are not aware of the problem, though.

Will be interested to see if I receive a response, and will report here if I do. We shouldn’t be making Lurk work this hard!

So I got Trend but cheap, by going to buycheapsoftware.com (amazing what you can find when you write stuff like that in Google). I think it was $19 and it is very good.

Native Indians were spiritually connected with nature & the Universe and they could have taught us a great deal about living in that consciousness.

yeap… there was an association with my high school, former pupil or something. they would come and play the soundtrack music for the various specials, explaining the thought behind its creation.

Native Indians had/have a world view similar to yoga/meditation. Once in a while, we’d get to peek inside their culture, while on a tour but mostly, they hid it away.

Please let Diane know that she has my undying admiration for rising above those terrible experiences to become what she is today. People like her are truly inspirational.
