Shields: Good faith effort by WH but Senate (not Republicans) wouldn’t budge.

Brooks: Corker had a good plan, autoworkers take a $10 pay cut to spread the pain around. Doesn’t really explain who else, maybe shareholders, will take a bath. Won’t say if he thinks it’s important that the American industry survive, just people will need to buy cars, i.e. foreign models.

Shields: Look how the easy time no strings treatment of the financial community.

Brooks: Laughs investors felt pain.

Shields: Repeats, no questions asked, just given the money

Brooks: I’m just following the Conventional Wisdom here but Detroit has had problems for years blah blah.

Then on to Blago, apparently they agree he was corrupt. How insightful is that.

So do these renegades have names? I doubt that many of us would recognize them but something I decided from my scandals list was that if there was a name it should be put out there to be part of the record.
