Sorry for the driveby, but if you didn’t see Moyers’ Journal tonight, please go to their website and watch the interview with Glenn Greenwald, and the companion page on the Rule of Law! And recommend it to all of your friends! This is the best TV segment of the week, IMHO. I hope Obama’s transition team watched it.

Morning all,
I never thought of exposing my neck when it is cold but the coldest I have ever been has been if my feet sweat and then get cold.
Here in CO snow today and tomorrow, high tomorrow in the teens.

hahaha..I had this image of myself doing a strip-tease out there at a red light…ooo dangerous image. I do dress in a lot of layers; I just never stop to take anything off! Big problem I could probably wear less on top for sure, though the best thing I ever did for myself was make a pair of tights out of polar fleece(hard surface outside) – those are very snuggly.

Depends on how quickly your body warms to the exercise. Mine heats up quickly, but I once hiked with a friend in October in the Adirondacks. 15 minutes out in the morning, temp being a bit below freezing, I was down to a turtle neck, but it took her about an hour before she took off her down jacket.

Regardless, the key is to layer. And when you start getting hot, stop and take off a layer. Today’s warm garments are thin enough you should be able to get stuff that will fit in a backpack when they are shed. Also, many jackets now have zipper vents in the armpits, and sometimes even fancier, so all you need to do is unzip. And remember about venting at your neck as soon as you start feeling warm.
