Deputy Governor Bob Greenlee, a top aid to Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, has announced his resignation.

Though Greenlee did not give a reason for stepping down, an unnamed Deputy is featured prominently in the Blago affidavit released yesterday.

Fasten your seatbelts, as they say. . . .

Update:  “State records indicate the 33-year-old Greenlee lives in Chicago and earned $149,000 a year.”
