Being in Washington, D.C. this weekend was pretty wonderful. We did all the geeky librarian things to do, and then walked in the snow Saturday night. The new Capitol Visitor Center is awesome.

It’s a good book, and would be even if it wasn’t the last thing Molly worked on. It’s important too — there’s enough distance that some of the stupider efforts in support of Bushie are funny-ish now. That makes the lesson go down easier for some people. I can get my brother to read this — I couldn’t get him to read Olshansky and Lindorff if it was the only book within 100 miles of him.

Hey that is a good book! I read that and many others by him… My only minor complaint is that his books were long oh so long, but he sure didn’t scrimp for detail.

Bet it is exciting! Tried to read a purportedly autobiographical novel by a former OSS agent touching on that. Chasing down confiscated impressionists shipped via Holland to Madrid, en route to South America.
Written about 10 yrs ago by a then-elderly US woman who’d married a spanish count. Writing is challenging and some photos dubious to my untutored eye. But the topic is fascinating.
