Ha ha. In the photo in the “water is wet” link, I think Ahnuld’s shorts are just a bit too tight…

Alert. Hugh’s list being discussed on daily kos.

with shout out to Selise for maintaining in.

Pimped Edward Teller’s photo of it but lack the time to find it. If anyone a. has time b. has it. c. has posting privileges, it would be great for people to see the scroll.

It’s so long it filled the atrium of a univ. bldg and that was hanging from a first or second floor!

Special Condi Rice Lying Her Ass

Actually not true. If I heard correctly she said there was a lack of intelligence in the WH. She speaks the truth for the first time in 8 years…. out of the mouths of boots…..

Re; Mumbai

Must be nice to have a President who is this easy to get on the phone..Right..
Who moved the call up to the President? or, If the President has a ‘private line’? Who has the number?

‘Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari took the call from a man pretending to be India’s Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Friday, November 28, the second day of the terrifying attacks that killed 171 people.’

We need to support the workers at Republic Windows and Doors in Chicago. While the UAW needs to revisit its long time opposition to high mileage vehicles in the name of job security it too is a union that should be supported by all workers. Single payer health care will go a long way to ensure American industry is competitive worldwide.

Ever thought of being a community organizer? How about helping to organize for a union instead.

Lots of econ-related media today:

Office of Thrift Supervision’s National Housing Forum, featuring John Corzine keynote and remarks from Sheila Bair, 9AM.

Paul Krugman’s Nobel Prize lecture just ended (gak! how’s that stockholm time thing work again?), but should be on video at the link in a few days, it says (maybe sooner elsewhere, somehow).

More testimony on credit derivatives, this time at
the House, 1PM.

I’m hoping other unions are contemplating such actions.

Folks who consider themselves lefties might want to look into joining the IWW. That way you could join with other union (UA, UAW, etc) members in a show of solidarity at direct actions.

OT: Has anyone been hearing Laura Ingraham’s new rant? She is esp. outraged that Planned Parenthood is providing gift certificates for women’s health services, exams, birth control, etc. But Laura is convinced that what women really want is an abortion for Christmas. She has freaked.

And, did you see the shot of W giving Barbara Steisand a kiss at the Kennedy Centers. And then you could see pig fly….Can he please go away?

Haven’t done church for many years, so my theology is dimming. But as I recall, there’s a thingie in Colossians that tells, yea verily orders, wives to submit to their husbands, which is what the lord requires. Many ways to interpret that, I reckon. Literal interpretation. But once again, I want to mention the abject failure of the religious right to take literally, “As you do to the least of these, so you do to me” wrt providing basic necessities, compassion, et al.
