but my parents who met during WWII married three weeks after meeting have now been married 64 years…… some work and others don’t…… My mothers parents were married just as long…..

i was not a csi at the dept – but i did my share of processing scenes. but that was then and this is now and i don’t have to do that no more :)

A couple of my colleagues in physical anthropology do a lot of forensic work for the police both locally and at the state level.

Snencer Tracy…the Left hand of God. A bad man for a good god…I think it is strating to come together for me now. And I always felt so smart…oh well chugarum. Guess I’ll just dive into the lake gee we need some lily pads…sigh.

We actually have a forensic anthropology program here. Ashley and Randy (or more usually their students)do all the identifications for skeletonized remains. Also occasionally get called in for recoveries as well. They are both trained in preserving all evidence and context as anthropologists.

Hello Pups! I’m looking foward to Late Nite. Meantime, I did spend three days in D.C.

A lot of places do. Partly owing to misplaced demand. Folks are watching too much CSI and haven’t figured out that isn’t the real world. Most PDs don’t even have CSI teams, and some don’t even have anybody specially trained to do it part of the time (covers most MT PDs).

Coroner first

Coroner or local LEA call in our people, who work with the coroner’s office and the state crime lab. One of the county medical examiners is getting his Ph.D. in Forensic Anthropology with us to upgrade his skills.

not all coroners have the specialized training for recovery of and identification of skeletal remains – that’s when they coroner’s office calls in a forensic anthropologist.

Yep — people expect the PDs and sheriffs’ offices to respond and act just like they see on tee vee. (To be fair though, how would they know otherwise? But I digress…)

The best forensic anthropologists anywhere are the ones that the US Army has on tap at Tripler Medical Center, the ones they deploy around the world to identify our MIA/KIA remains…! ;-)

If they are lucky enough to have access to one. For the most part our folks only do recovery in western Montana (about 1/3 of the state). Folks east of the divide are pretty much on their own (our folks are the only ones in the state and it is a really big state).

Our town is built on a Chumash site…they were known to be here 10,000 years up to when the Catholic Mission separated the males from the females whether right or left handed. A few decendants left. Someone took a skull from a site a few blocks from me. A while back. values?

Robert Redford Sundance Productions, made a film up in the snow covered Rokies…the scene riders come upon a sacred Ute burial grounds, They buried them on pole beds above. It was a real spiritual experiece. he handled it well. Respect.

I am sure I will. They were a pretty good group and the ones I have graded so far were really good.

I’m a lefty, but I’ve had to learn to shoot, cut, play musical instruments, operate dangerous equipment and a lot of other things as if I weren’t. At least ten times a month, even now, in the 21st century, I hear “Oh, YOU’RE a lefty? That explains a lot.” Every week….
