I just find this Palin stuff fascinating.

Republican officials said this week that additional clothing charges would appear on the Republican National Committee’s campaign finance report totaling less than $30,000. But the committee’s report, which was due at midnight on Thursday, was not yet available as of late evening.

How in the world can anyone spend 110,000 on make-up and hair in a matter of weeks?

Chrysler is owned the hedgefund Dan Quayle works for they have cash.
The big three as EW pointed out yesterday can’t finance their own cars.
I say who cares we gave the banks money already we tell the banks to make car loans or we pull the money with interest.
Payday loan company interest the samt they give us when we are desperate for cash!

Big Three back on the hill.

If the banking institutions were unionized would they be receiving $8Trillion in gimmes from Paulson? The goopers that want the auto companies to go into bankruptcy have only one motivation and that is to get rid of the unions. Jan 20th can not come fast enough for me.

Our central bankers have had a tremendous amount of hubris over the years, believing that they could actually manage a paper money system in such a way as to replicate the behavior and benefits of a gold standard. In fact, back in 2004 then Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan told me as much. People talk about toxic assets, but the real toxicity in our economy comes from the neo-alchemy practiced by the Federal Reserve System. Just as alchemists of the past frequently poisoned themselves with the lead or mercury they were trying to turn to gold, today’s bankers are poisoning the economy with accelerated fiat money creation.

Throughout the ages, gold has stood the test of time as a consistently reliable medium of exchange, and has frequently been referred to as “God’s money,” as only God can make more of it. Seeking superhuman power over money in the way alchemists did in ancient times caused society to shun them as charlatans. In much the same way, free people today should be sending the message that this power and control over our money is no longer acceptable.

The irony is that even had the ancient practice of alchemy been successful, and gold was suddenly, magically made abundant, alchemists still would have failed to create real wealth. Creating gold from lead would have cheapened its status to that of rhinestones or cubic zirconia. It is unnatural and dangerous for paper to be considered as precious as a precious metal. Our fiat currency system is crumbling and coming to an end, as all fiat currencies eventually do.

Congress should reject the central bank as a failure for its manipulations of money that have brought our economy to its knees. I am hoping that in the 111th Congress my legislation to abolish the Federal Reserve System gains traction so that the central bank can no longer destroy our money.

Ron Paul

A McDonald’s uniform, or something a Disney employee might wear are examples. Anything you could wear in daily life is not exempt from taxes.

The remaining case with the highest profile is Donofrio vs. Wells. Because it was referred by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to other justices for conference

so here’s a hypothetical;

suppose alito and roberts actaully declare obama ineligeable, who becomes potus?

MORE ON BARACK OBAMA
Suit contesting Barack Obama’s citizenship heads to U.S. Supreme Court today
Justices will decide whether to consider the case

By James Janega | Tribune reporter
6:30 AM CST, December 5, 2008

The U.S. Supreme Court will consider today whether to take up a lawsuit challenging President-elect Barack Obama’s U.S. citizenship, a continuation of a New Jersey case embraced by some opponents of Obama’s election.

The meeting of justices will coincide with a vigil by the filer’s supporters in Washington on the steps of the nation’s highest court.

I can’t believe the Supreme Court is even considering this Bush vs Gore was not a big enough embarrassment for them?

IRS Tax Tip 2008-15

If you gave any one person gifts in 2007 that are valued at more than $12,000, you must report the total gifts to the Internal Revenue Service and may have to pay tax on the gifts. The person who receives your gift does not have to report the gift to the IRS or pay gift or income tax on its value.

Gifts include money and property, including the use of property without expecting to receive something of equal value in return. If you sell something at less than its value or make an interest-free or reduced-interest loan, you may be making a gift.

There are some exceptions to the tax rules on gifts. The following gifts generally are not taxable and do not count against the annual limit:

* Tuition or Medical Expenses that you pay directly to an educational or medical institution for someone’s benefit
* Gifts to your Spouse
* Gifts to a Political Organization for its use
* Gifts to Charities

Gifts are not deductible. Any amount given away other than to charity would have to be included in gross income. Charities are a different story.

“I don’t know how they’re going to make it,” Sen. Richard C. Shelby, R-Ala., said of the auto makers.

Shelby said Chapter 11 bankruptcy was their way to stay in business. Asked Friday morning on CBS whether there was anything the auto executives could say to change his mind about government aid, Shelby said: “Absolutely not.”

Why doesn’t the MSM disclose the fact that Shelby has an ulterior motive – mainly foreign auto makers with non-union workers in his state. Shelby is unamerican.

Agreed plus they have the money they don’t need a bailout they can either bailout Chrysler them selves or admit to their investors they are broke.
Which in this economic climate will send investors running.
If anyone has Cerbereus in their pension fund demand they sell it. Anyone who hires Dan Quayle should not be trusted with your money.
Never mind Buying Chrysler when the Germans were willing to sell at a huge loss just to get rid of it.

I was a tax preparer for three years, between 2004 and 2007. I even took the Enrolled Agent Exam in 2005, and passed 3 out of 4 parts (now there only three parts). The tax code is so complicated and convoluted, it is almost impossible for anyone, without photographic memory or having been a tax lawyer or accountant for many, many years, to know or understand the tax code.

Southern politicians have continually done everything they can to keep unions out of their states. It was originally done to keep poor whites and AA from gaining a common ground against the white elite. Some things never change.

When the Palins began building a new family home off Lake Lucille in 2002—at the same time that Palin was running for lieutenant governor and in her final months as mayor—Spenard supplied the materials, according to Antoine Bricks, who works in its Wasilla office. Spenard actually filed a notice “of its right to assert a lien” on the deed for the Palin property after contracting for labor and materials for the site. Spenard’s name has popped up in the trial of Senator Stevens—it worked on the house that is at the center of the VECO scandal as well.

Todd Palin told Fox News that he built the two-story, 3,450-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bath, wood house himself, with the help of contractors he described as “buddies.” As mayor, Sarah Palin blocked an effort to require the filing of building permits in the wide-open city, and there is no public record of who the “buddies” were. The house was built very near the complex, on a site whose city purchase led to years of unsuccessful litigation and, now, $1.3 million in additional costs, with a law firm that’s also donated to Palin collecting costly fees from the city.

533,000 jobs lost in November.
http://rawstory.com/news/2008/….._1205.html

What will the numbers be if a Republican controlled Congress gleefully watches from the sidelines as the U.S. auto industry collapses? Unions and progressives should begin promoting the idea of a nationwide general strike.

Any bailout of the automakers is, like the incredible sums being printed for the select group of financial cronies, another example of the endemic corruption of American government. Only some groups of people are worthy of assistance, the rest, eh, they can starve. “Too big to fail” is propaganda for “only some deserve support.”

I find it so hard not to just start screaming a long series of profanities.
