Both sides put pressure on workers and the only way a worker can exercise ‘free choice’ is with a private ballot. If you eliminate the private ballot then union members will confront undecided workers in numbers and peer pressure them into signing.</p> <p>Elections should be decided with private ballots as we just did on 11/4. If the unions can’t win with private ballots then they aren’t offering a compelling service.
