Mayber it would be to everyone’s benefit to utilize our knowledge to educate those who will come after us? We seem to have the benefit of hindsight, and supposed foresight. Even if we can’t get it all done in the time frame that we would like - our lifetimes. Which doesn’t get done anyway, in anyone’s lifetime. Maybe we should shed our egos, and try throwing everything we have into those who come after us? Whether that is our children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, whatever. We should give the benefit of our wisdom to those who will come later. I’m talking about a concerted effort, a concerted educational program that we, without, the government, lay on our children. Why is it that we seem to have a need to provide children with a “perfect” life? What the hell is that anyway? It should strike someone at some moment that this is a really bad idea. Life isn’t perfect. You do your children a disservice to provide them with a “perfect” life. It isn’t possible, it doesn’t exist. Life happens, you can’t control all of it. They need to become adults who can handle the problems of tomorrow.
