A bipartisan commission is asserting the country should expect a terrorist attack using nuclear or biological weapons sometime in the next five years.

I wanna know who’s on this commission. I’m not real confident in the use of “bipartisan” any more.

Brokaw will conclude his duties as interim moderator this weekend, when he will interview President-Elect Barack Obama.

If I were in charge of MTP, I’d use my new moderator to interview Obama, no better way to start of the newbie’s tenure.

Prediction. David Gregory’s first guest will be either Joe the Plumber or Karl Rove. Gregory is a more appropriate host of a dance show where he and Karl Rove can show off their moves.

AP is newspapers and radio, right? Am I missing something? Because it really looks as if CNN is moving into media that frankly are on the gurney already..I don’t see this as entering a ‘growth’ situation. Or, am I missing something here?

I’m thinking very seriously of bailing out of work early today to be here for Krugman at 2. I’m certainly not smart enough in economics to add anything of value but I figure I’ll learn something and might even come up with an intelligent question.

The report, which is scheduled to be publicly released on Wednesday, suggests that the incoming administration of President-elect Barack Obama should improve the capability of the United States to counter such an attack and to prepare if necessary for germ warfare.

The report was written by the Commission on the Prevention of WMD Proliferation and Terrorism. Among other things, it concluded: “Our margin of safety is shrinking, not growing.”

After what happened to Ivins and in the botched investigation into the very real anthrax attack on the Capitol, the bearings of the recommendation by the Commission are just a little misplaced, you think ?

Gregory on MTP? I expected it after I recalled his love of the rove boogie woogie.

I don’t bother watching any of talking heads on Sunday. It’s mostly recycled neoclowns on fox and has been mostly repubs on the others.
Besides that, hasn’t anyone else noticed that all of these people have one thing in common? They all say what they mean, get called on the carpet, and then use words like gotcha journalism, taken out of context, blather blather blather. If the line is going to change in less than an hour, why bother watching?

Is the bipartisan commission the same the that said there would be attacks on the NY Subway system during last weekend?

I assume the bushies still have a store of anthrax they have yet to use so maybe they are contemplating an attack just before the next gen. election. Nothing these bastards do would surprise me.

General Electric, who owns that corporate lobbyist David Gregory, makes it difficult to find how much toxic plastics they make.

David, are you going to report on melamine poisoning of 300,000 sick Chinese children?

A statement posted on online government media overnight said that 294,000 babies and young children had suffered “urinary system abnormalities” after drinking formula milk from Sanlu, the company most seriously affected, and other brand names.

I may have to update my Oxdown Post.

The corporate media knows they have a lot of ground to make up hence you can expect to see even more right wing shills, Republicons, pundits and bloviators on the corporate media. Maintaining the status quo and then a return to the glory days of the Bush administration is a priority of the corporate media.
