Readers older than, oh, say, twelve, may have noticed a pattern with the Democrats. They campaign on some issue — in the previous Most Important Elections Of Our Lifetime, the 2006 midterms, it was the Iraq war, for example. Then once safely in office, the find a reason why they can’t actually do anything about the issue until they get something else on the next election cycle — the White House, or the state senate, or a second term for the Governor (why? This one seems especially arbitrary).

It’s really exactly like the dear old Spanish Prisoner scam…

Why is everyone obsessed about gettin’ 60 “Democratic” votes in the Senate…fer Christ’s sake, Obama’s gunna need at least 2-3 aposate fascist votes on any particular issue no matter how many nominal “Democrats” we have counted before any particular vote. I think this fixation on 60 votes is an unhealthy strategy in any particular election campaign especially in “red” areas…go after the seats and votes based on the issues that won the fuckin’ only truly national election we got and let the chips fall on Obama’s shoulders and political skills ta get the votes needed from issue ta issue until 2010 when we ken get another 3-4 Senate seats and knock the “Blue Dogs” back into the kennel.

KEEP THE FAITH AND PASS THE AMMUNITION BUT KEEP YER EYES ON THE TARGET FER cRIST’S SAKE!!
