Poppy and Babs know full-well what Junja has done to the Bush brand. Junja was never supposed to be Preznit, that was Jebbie’s role. Jebbie was the son groomed to be a politician.

Karl Rove came along and believed that he could make Junja Presidential. And Karl did make him appear Presidential enough to collect the right set of box tops and gain entry to 1600 Pennsylvania.

Bushies’ eight years in the White House have destroyed the Bush Brand. Jebbie could no more run for President this year than he could fly without assistance. It’s unlikely that the Bush brand will recover sufficiently for Jeb ever to make a credible run for the Presidency. It may not recover sufficiently for George Prescott Bush to mount a credible campaign for dog-catcher.

If we owe Junja a thanks for anything, it’s a thanks for removing the vile Bush family from American politics for a least the next 50 years.

I actually think that Bush, unlike Truman, will *drop* in popularity as time progresses (there’s still lower numner!) and the world responds to Obama in contrast.
