Unless we have a soft landing, when the people realize how deeply they are gettin fugged they won’t take it lyin down and I suspect the security folks are ready to put down some uprisins.

It remains to be seen if this will scare the people, outrage the constitutionalists enough to stop it, or simply intimidate everyone that fascism is the end game for capitalism and if you don’t want to be hauled off to some camp, you’d better shut up and sing.

You don’t give W & Palin enough credit. They’re stupid in the sense of applying intellectual analysis to problem solving, something that we appreciate here. But they are excessively clever at accomplishing their ends. They are tools, as you point out, but they are also actors on their own, shaping things around them very much in line with their vision.

Considering the last 8 years, you might say that W is much sharper than we are. He got what he wanted and we didn’t.

W was simply a empty suit Chauncy Gardiner who funneled money to his puppet masters. He’s dumb as a fence post so he doesn’t get in the way of their agenda. Palin is another one who can be used for their purposes while firing up the empty headed creationist racists in the country.

Obama like Dodd are part of the problem and not the solution. Sure they understand democracy, but they don’t understand – or are willing to admit that they do – who pulls the strings in the country and the world – uber wealthy financiers and industrialists. It’s their world, we work for them.

So where are the angry mobs? On bread lines I suppose – 30MM americans receive food stamps… in the richest country in the world – that’s 1 in 10. Too hungry to fight?
