Rediscovered a book in my library yesterday. Beyond the Khyber Pass - The Road to British Disaster in the First Afghan War by John H Waller. Pub in 1990 as the Russian’s were withdrawing. Wonder if any of these fools have read it.

loved the bit about obl running obama’s wot too. course with obama’s push to escalate in afghanistan and attack in pakistan, i can’t say for sure the wot isn’t being run according to obl’s playbook. :(
