Undeterred, his enablers are patting themselves on the back, or, somewhere. Take it away Kathryn Lopez at National Review:
We dedicate ourselves to vigilantly cover (and uncover) the new Washington with reporting and analysis from the likes of Jonah Goldberg, Byron York, Victor Davis Hanson, Andrew C. McCarthy, Mark Steyn, and others who have become familiar friends in the lives of National Review Online readers...
Oh, what a sterling lineup, who wouldn't brag?
And what can you "the mark" do to help out the world's oldest profession?
This year, we’ve added a few new levels of sponsorship support (and additional tokens of thanks) for those who invest $100 or more in the present and future of NRO. Donations of $1,000 or more include new opportunities for access to our editors and writers.
I dunno, a grand seems a bit steep to have John Derbyshire ask you for a lap dance. Wouldn't a restraining order be a better value?

I’m thinking that money would be better spent down at the local gentleman’s club. That way the money stays local too. Supporting Krystal’s junior college education and all.
Now if KLow wants to make some appearances at Sensations……….
Morning Attaturk,
Pamela Anderson is feeling the love too
http://www.pamelachannel.com/c.....-anderson/
paying $1,000 for “access” to K-Lo?
That’s worse than the dream I just woke up from.
they’re gonna go after barack for every sneeze, I am surprised they haven’t been going after him yet
barack needs the internet to get his message known however if he keeps doing things republicans do we are all gonna pile on him
for instance, I believe we will be able to work with the right wing to get the nsa program ended
Good morning, pups. It’s Kristof flying solo today, writing from Tblisi, Georgia, about “Obama, Misha and the Bear.” He says that President-elect Barack Obama needs a new approach to Russia if we want to avoid a new cold war, and we also need to get over our crush on Georgia’s president, Mikheil Saakashvili. As an aside, don’t you think it’s about time for the powers that be at Word Press to step up to the plate and acknowledge that “Barack Obama” are two proper nouns that shouldn’t be flagged as misspelled?

The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and I’ve got banana pancakes this morning. Mercifully our temperatures have climbed up past freezing this morning. I’m not good at cold any more! Have a great day.
And I’m tired of navigating an obstacle course of potted plants on the kitchen and living room floor….gettin’ too old to heft them suckers in and out the door as the weather fluctuates. Otoh, it’s gonna be a perfect day for yard work. :-)
Mornin folks. Here’s some of yesterday’s WaPo chat w/Tucker and Ana Marie:
Had to laugh when I read that one.
Thanks for the coffee, Marion. I don’t do cold so good these days either. Feels balmy, almost, eh?
Compared to our sojourn in the Arctic yesterday it sure does!
Waccamaw, “I feel your pain.”
;-)
Hey, guy…….whatcha been doing lately?
A billet doux from Billy K, how nice. Can we arrange for him to have permanent residency in right wing capitalist Russia surely he would love it there, greedy oiligarchs, rampant poverty, no habeous corpus, torture and secret prisons, why he would think he was still in bushie america.
Ooobie dooobie, whoa!
I got nothin’ to say. Hmmmm. Lemme put my thinkin’ cap on. I’m still in a post-election funk.
But anyway, good mornin’ pups from FL where you can see your breath this mornin’. Brrrrr.
Well, Joe Scarborough did ask facetiously this morning where is the President-elect to save the country. Of course, George Bush is the current president, so it’s not surprising even the Brownshirts of the War Party are asking for anyone but him to help. And if Barack sneezes while talking to us the wingers will exclaim the end is near! Spit.
1,832 DAYZ AND THE KILLIN’ GOEZ ON AND ON AND…
Citizen Attaturk and the Firepup Freedom Fighters:
The last eight years of total fascist government has not been easy for anyone but the cleanin’ up is gunna take its toll on all of us and restoration of somethin’ resemblin’ representative democracy ain’t gunna happen over night. So before we on the left start pissin in our own shoes and whackin’ away at Obama before he’s even inaugurated, let’s step back outta the traffic and get outta the way of fallin wingnuts and flamin’ fascists runnin’ through the streets screamin’ about the commies and shit.
Watchin’ the entire Potemkin City of fascist smoke and mirrors come apart is not gunna be pleasant but watchin’ institutions of propaganda and political assasination like the national review decay and collapse right before our eyes will certainly be gratifyin’.
Watch the bastards make idiots of themselves on national television as reality swallows ‘em whole.
KEEP THE FAITH AND PASS THE AMMUNITION, THEY AIN’T ALL DEAD YET!!
Is it just me or did anyone see in the video Bush dragging a blanket with him as he walked? LOL!
Um, that’s Nicholas Kristof, not that putz Billy Kristol.
Trying to stay warm.
Scanning craigslist for new digs. This camp breaking in Dec.
If there is anything left in this country for BO to take over. Bushy has run the treasury dry, is trying to gut the environment, trying to start a bloody war wherever he can and is burying his neo-con crooks at every level of the bureaucracy. All that will be left is a fucking ash pile.
PS it is 20 flipping degrees here….must be colder where you are Kay?
Like TBear my brain is dead. Actually it is frozen
Good morning.
Heh. WJ is begging for Rs to call in. Line’s empty.
Have another hot chocolate. That always works for me!
BTW, that is a great video of W walking across the stage like the man who was voted off the island, not just by the U.S. voters, but also by world leaders.
This is the second good thing I’ve seen Sanchez do. The other was a couple of weeks ago when he had David Niewert on to do the AIP story. Does anyone have any opinion about Sanchez, good or bad?
Anyone else sick of “team of rivals” already?
it went down to 40 here!!!!
You’re in Florida, right? What do you do when it gets that cold?
R on WJ whining about the media who don’t give a damn about Rs any more. Boooohoooo.
Citizen eCAHNomics:
The Washington Village and it’s sychophants and popularists like Doris Kerns were BORN old! Her history reads like a critique of an old Archie comic book and her writing is like readin’ sanscrit.
No, I think when it’s all in place this new administration is gunna have the chops and political muscle ta get some shit done!!
KEEP THE FAITH AND PASS THE AMMUNITION BUT DON’T SHOOT THE FRIENDLIES!!
There should be a new election rule. If, after the election the sitting Pres has a popularity rating below 25% he should be replaced immediately, no waiting around until Jan20th
Put on 2 pairs of speedos?
go scrambling for long pants, long sleeved shirts, jackets and stuff. “Did we bring that coat when we moved?” Is that in the garage?” “Holy shit, I need to go to the store and buy clothes!” Even wehn it’s in the 40’s it’s a bit of a shock the first few days but after that you appreciate it. Funny to see people dressed like Nanook of the North when it’s 42 degrees. Bottom line, it just takes a few days to get used to - I guess that really means putting away the shorts and t-shirts.
I’ve not read Kearns, and after this I have no plans to ever do so.
It could be worse. The inauguration used to be in March.
There was a beach in NJ that had banned speedos, but then rescinded the ban. Steven Colbert did a great spook on it. It was a couple of years ago. I’ll go look to see if anyone uploaded it to YouTube.
Yeah, as a northerner I always laugh about the way you folks bundle up in moderately cold weather. But to be fair, it takes a couple of days for us to get used to the cold too.
The one I was looking for wasn’t there, but this one is worth a chuckle on a cold morning.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HR9Lf5BGmjA
why is it that whenever I’m pouring a cup of coffee I always feel the urgent need to look at my watch?
I should probably keep some burn cream in the medicine cabinet, ’cause one of these days….
I opened the DIGG.
While there I noticed there is a website where we can all leave an open Goodbye message for George Bush. hehehehe
Link: http://goodbye.us
The video is priceless, Attaturk. I downloaded it for posterity.
Big Time.
Agree. Obama may not get the reception some (including me) are hoping for. We’re not the country we were 8yrs ago. That video actually saddens me. Our beloved country is shattered.
Do you think Palin is really a blonde?
For Lincoln biographies, Donald Herbert Donald’s “Lincoln” is the best — and frankly Gore Vidal’s historical novel “Lincoln” is IMO his best work and probably gets closer to the real Lincoln than anything else.
“Manhunt” about the assassination and the hunt for John Wilkes Booth is also very good.
Maybe. Her hair turned dark thru lack of sunshine?
Around 2000, I sent Fox a thank-you note for single-handedly contributing to the revival of dumb blond jokes.
Sorry to hear that…….nice digs in great location. Hoping you the best with the search.
Americans for Job Security is currently running appallingly misleading radio and TV ads supporting Saxby Chambliss. If you’re in Georgia, don’t forget to vote. If you’re not in Georgia please do what you can to support Jim Martin.
Sorry it’s “David” Herbert Donald.
Palin a blonde?
Are you implying the Polar Bear Rug doesn’t match the Moose Fur Curtains?
Ralph Whitehead used the term “The Long Goodbye” in reference to BushI leadup for Clinton’s win. Seems like this one is in slo-mo. And hiccups or freezeups.
I report, you decide
Quitcher bellyachin’. It was 29 here!
Swim’s up.
Yep, it’s cold here! I just posted a picture of the brook behind my house showing ice forming on the sides of it. Brrrrrr!
I had to put the heater in the fishpond this morning!
I haven’t read Goodwin’s book, but have a soft spot for historians who write readable books. There is a real snobbery among history professors against anyone who publishes anything which is read by more than two other experts in the same field. They think it is akin to prostitution.
wow. i haven’t been here that long. my first year, i laughed so much at the people who got al bundled up when it was 45. now i’m gettimng to bne one of them. but i;’m not that bad. yet.
